Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I scan 35mm stereo slides with the epson v600?

A: Yes, you will have to take the slides out of the holders to scan them.

Q: 2. I have a MacBook with usb-c ports only. Will this work with the adapter? I thought I watched a review and it said it wouldn’t, could have been an old review. Thanks

A: The Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner can be used with a MacBook (with an adapter).

Q: 3. Can I play blu-ray movies with this unit?

A: Yes, the Pioneer BDR-XS07S can play Blu-Ray discs when connected to a computer.

Q: 4. I wants a device to transfer from my iPhone to to to external DVD without cumputer

A: The Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD 6x Portable USB 3.1 Gen 1 Blu-ray Burner with M-DISC Support is not compatible with IOS devices, so this optical drive would not work with your iPhone. Also looking through our inventory, at this time it doesn't look like we have an optical drive that is compatible with iOS.

Q: 5. Does this works with MacOs Big Sur?

A: It will work on it's latest firmware.

Q: 6. The specs indicate scanning of 35mm slides. I have read comments for other scanners that older style paper mounts need to be trimmed. has anyone actually scanned slides with the V600? I dont want to have to hand trim the 100's of slides I want to scan.

A: Sure, I've scanned a lot of 35mm slides. They fit fine in the supplied templates. No trimming required.

Q: 7. I want to scan my 35mm panorama negatives taken with a Widelux panorama camera. Each negative strip is the same size as any other 35mm negative strip, but each negative frame in a strip is wider than a standard 35mm negative because it is a panorama. Each negative frame is 24mm x 58mm, which is wider than a standard negative frame. My question is, will the V600 scanner recognize that each of my negative frames are not the standard size? I have a Nikon Cool Scan scanner and it has a default setting that only accepts standard negative frames and when scanning my panorama negatives it automatically divides my panorama negatives into two files rather than one.

A: V600 handles only standard 35 mm negatives. Search the HP Photosmart S20. Some reviewers mentioned it'll handle 35mm frames of arbitrary length, up to the equivalent of 5 standard frames (about 7 inches).

Q: 8. Is this a substitute for a bdr-xs06?

A: Yes, this is the replacement for the BDR-XS06.

Q: 9. Is there a way to adjust the focus on the Epson V600 when scanning film?

A: Not that I know of.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with a late 2013 15.4" MacBook Pro Retina?

A: Yes, the Pioneer BDR-XS07S 6x Portable USB 3.1 Gen 1 Blu-ray Burner with M-DISC Support BH #PIBDRXS07S supports macOS versions: Mac OS X 10.11, macOS Sierra 10.12, macOS High Sierra 10.13, macOS Mojave 10.14 An update is impending for it to support Catalina OS according to Pioneer's website.
