In the window that displays the preview use your mouse to select the area you want to scan. The process is similar to that for cropping in Photoshop. 5. A: The average time frame to scan an 8x10 print at 300 dpi on the Epson V600 is approxemelty, 30 seconds. But, there are other settings that can make the scan speed longer. There is on information on 200dpi but it should take about 12-18 seconds.

Q: 5. Does this work with macOS High Sierra 10.13.3?

A: I don't know. Call Epson first to find out if it will work. My El Capitan version didn't coincide with what Epson said worked. I checked before purchasing the scanner. They said it should work. When I installed their disc the scanner didn't work but Epson tech support fixed it so it is ok.

Q: 6. Is it possible to detach or open the lid of the scanner to allow oversized books, objects to be scanned without the lid?

A: Yes, the hinges are basically pins in holes at the rear of the unit. The lid can be lifted completely off if necessary.

A: I use a PC but the software that came with the scanner was good for MAC 10.10.x. According to Epsons web site they have a version for 10.12.x. You should be good to go. I used mine to scan some 6x45 wedding photos from 30 years ago and the results were more than great.

Q: 8. The specs indicate scanning of 35mm slides. I have read comments for other scanners that older style paper mounts need to be trimmed. has anyone actually scanned slides with the V600? I dont want to have to hand trim the 100's of slides I want to scan.

A: Sure, I've scanned a lot of 35mm slides. They fit fine in the supplied templates. No trimming required.

Q: 9. Need to buy replacement covers for these as I use them to indicate if it's charged or not. Where can I get them?

A: Unfortunately we do not carry replacement battery covers.

Q: 10. Can I scan six strips of 35 mm film (6 frames each) on the glass at one time? Will it all be scanned and will the scan be sharp. I want to do this without negative holder frames.

A: Yes, unit will allow scans of 2 35mm strips with 6 frames at a time. For the best results we advise adjusting and fine tuning your scan settings and 35mm film holder tray.
