$224.85 $308.04

The Sunwayfoto DDP-64M Indexing Rotator is a rotating head that allows you to pan at precise degree increments. This enables you to capture a series of photos – at stop intervals that range from 5° to 90° – that you'll later stitch into a panoramic masterpiece (possibly involving high-dynamic range capture as well).

Remove and insert the attached key to easily change the detent (stop) interval. The DDP-64M features independent locks for the top platform and for the pan base. You can also use this indexing rotator as a traditional panning base. With a 22 lb load capacity, the DDP-64M supports most camera/lens combinations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the LCD screen still accessible (able to tilt fully)?

A: Yes the screen will be able to fully tilt, but the bracket has to be on the camera in the exact right position.

Q: 2. Can you mount a regular ball head to the top of the DDP-64SI?

A: If you used a bushing converter to change the top mounting to 3/8", you could mount a ballhead to the top of this rotator.

Q: 3. But can the 1/4 - 20 lug on top be taken out and then a 1/4 -20 screw be screwed into it from the top? I guess what I'm asking is if the hole on top is threaded.

A: The Rotator has a standard 1/4 male thread and it is not designed to take that out and be used direct with a male thread. It is 3/8ths female thread any way.

Q: 4. Do you have to remove metal from the entire top of the rear ant-twist flange, or just one corner of the right end when seen from the rear?

A: There is no need to remove any part of the L bracket.

Q: 5. Does it work for Nikon D810 ?

A: The Sunwayfoto PNL-D850 L-Bracket for the Nikon D850 will fit the Nikon D810 DSLR Camera, but the battery door and side ports might be blocked. Instead, get the Sunwayfoto PNL-D810R L-Bracket for Nikon D810, BH #SUPNLD810R.

Q: 6. Will this work for a Ricoh GR2 mounted on a K&F travel tripod with pano head?

A: As the Ricoh GR II Digital Camera is a small point-and-shoot camera with a built-in lens, if you are looking for a nodal slide for your usage needs, I would instead recommend the smaller Sunwayfoto DMP-100R Nodal Slide, B&H # SUDMP100R, for your planned usage.

Q: 7. Does it fit to andoer ball head?

A: You should have no problems. I have Manfrotto tri-pods and to save the problem I bought swis arc plate adopters and attached them to the manfrotto plate I now have two locks for the camera and I can still use all of my manfrotto heads.

Q: 8. is it possible to get a replacement camera screw - is it a widely available screw? I have almost reamed out the one for my Nikon D600 and am concerned I will do the same for this one

A: Here you go: Sunwayfoto Stainless Steel 1/4 QR Screw CS-1 Hex / Flat Slot for Tripod (5) B&H # SUCS15

Q: 9. Will removal of the top clamp allow for the use of the standard 3/8" screw and thus ballhead (directly on the rotator vs through the clamp)?

A: Yes this is possible. Though it has a 1/4 20 screw and you would need a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing like the one linked here to do this. https://bhpho.to/2PojBNL. Alternatively if you have no need for the clamp, the base can be purchased individually at the link here. https://bhpho.to/3d5eGcI. Ideally one should pan from the top of the Ballhead as opposed to from the base. The top of the head would need to be perfectly vertical to get a level pan from the base. When panning from the top this is not an issue.

Q: 10. does it work with a manfrotto 190go an 496RC2 Compact Ball Head? thanks

A: This Sunwayfoto L bracket mounts via an Arca-Swiss clamp. Manfrotto does not have Arca-Swiss clamping system. This includes the 496RC2. Either get a Arca-Swiss head or convert the 496RC2 to both systems with this: Sunwayfoto Arca & Manfrotto Compatible Clamp B&H # SUMAC14 . You will be able to use Arca-Swiss plates and the 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate that comes with the 496RC2.
