The 120V 24855B Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol 90 x 160" Ceiling-Recessed Motorized Screen (fabric, roller, and motor available separately) from Da-Lite is designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim. The Advantage line of projection screens is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening in the ceiling, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

Tensioned screens ensure the smoothest surface possible, and the screen features a closure door that hides the open space and screen in the ceiling, providing a cleaner aesthetic. The screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage, and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Note: This box is part of a system. To complete the system you will also require the fabric, roller, and motor assembly. Purchasing the box first allows the box to be installed during the "rough-in" phase of construction. The screen and other components can then be installed once construction is complete. Please be sure to select the fabric, roller, and motor assembly with the exact size and features as designated by this box. The fabric, roller, and motor that goes with this model number is: 24855F.

I've had the Mirage VND kit for almost a week now and it's a keeper. Prior to this I tried out the larger three-stage Tilta matte box and it was really nice but was also heavy and eclipsed my rail rig. I returned that one for the Mirage, and is light and right.

The Mirage fits right in and does it's job very well. Unexpectedly, the VND filter is actually really good. The filter tray is secure but also makes it easy to swap out filters.

The whole system is very simple to assemble, attach, and remove.

It's a keeper!

I will go straight to the point, this is a great lightweight Mattebox, and the VND is great to use. Go watch Youtube reviews if you need more info.

Just a couple of notes. The top flag can get scratched very easily if not stored safely on the included case, but I guess it is better than scratching the lens.

Also just go with the fully priced motor option if you can, I bought the middle one with just the VND but now I regret not having the motor, and it's way expensive buying it separately...

Very light-weight but the build is impressive. Includes all the sizes you need for whatever diameter lens you mount it on. You don't need rails for it, unless you have a really long, heavy lens attached to it. The variable ND filter is really smartly designed too. Just slide in and slide out. Comes in it's own little case with a removable pouch that will carry several filters so you can just put that in your bag for shooting. it's a beautifully designed thing and makes your rig scream film camera. So, I got that going for me...which is nice.
