Q: 1. Due to its material and features, isn't this bag too much heavy by its own (even empty, with no stuffs on it) and as so adds too much weight for carrying the whole system? I mean I'm wondering if the bag by itself is already heavy, when filled with photo gear will end up much heavier, maybe causing problems not only bo be carried as a backpack but also to be accepted as a non-checked luggage. According to your experience traveling with this bag, how should I feel about my concern? Thanks in advance!

A: I have only traveled with this bag once, but I appreciated it. Because it can be a roller or a backpack, it gives versatility to arrangement of all baggage you are trying to move at one time. For example, when pulling all your rolling luggage, it's a backpack. When your baggage is checked, it's an easy roller. Weight-i just changed from a hard case system and this us so much lighter. Loaded it's heavy but it's easy to carry as a backpack even then. I don't know if there is another bag that weighs less and still gives your equipment protection. I looked at a lot of bags and made a chart of the characteristics and this was my choice. It fits in standard overhead bins-although i didn't use the computer bag b/c i was pretty sure that would not fit too and it would not have. My concern is when changing to smaller commuter planes, this is not going to fit. But when flying into some areas like Saba, the plane is too small for any carry on. So sooner or later it will have to be checked. I don't like that at all, but is the reality. As far as the airlines refusing it as carry on b/c of weight- on standard flights I have always found it to be the size if the bag, not the weight. When they have checked the weight, it has been in smaller airlines where it might not have fit anyway. I hope this helps! Having traveling!

Q: 2. How well protected is a laptop stored in this bag? Like if the bag was placed in an overhead bin on the side containing the laptop?

A: Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Rolling Backpack V2.0 (Black) will protect all the gear in the case including a laptop. There is no problem placing the bag on it's side in an overhead compartment.

Q: 3. What are the main differences between Airport Takeoff v1 and v2.0?

A: Direct from Think Tank Photo Customer Service because I had the same question before they released the bag.The main differences between the V1 and V2 is the V2 is a little lighter, has a few new pockets, and has a redesigned handle.

Q: 4. With this work with the 504HD Head?

A: Yes it does

Q: 5. Will this rolling backup fit under your seat in an airplane so it could be a personal item on a Frontier flight?

A: Probably not, maybe in the overhead but you must check with the airline for exact dimensions.

Q: 6. Will this fit a MT055CXPRO4 with XPRO 3-way head?

A: Yes, it will fit, and will have a little bit of extra length to work with.

Q: 7. Will a Nikon 600mm f/4 lens with reversed hood fit in this case?

A: It would be better to use the slightly larger ThinkTank Airport International V3.0 https://bhpho.to/2JXnWAY.

Q: 8. will this bad fit Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Benro GH5C Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head with PL100LW Plate?

A: The Manfrotto MBAG100PN Padded Tripod Bag is too small for the tripod with the gimbal head.

Q: 9. A couple of questions.First, for those that have traveled with this bag, have you done do on the smaller regional planes (think Hawaiian interisland flights) Did it have to be checked if you did so?Second, it I recall correctly, the original version would not fit the pro bodies with the integral grip or other bodies with the accessory grip attached. Does this version?Thank you I'm advance!

A: I agree that it likely will not hold pro bodies with a grip at the top, as my 5DmkIV fits fine, but not with much spare room. The sides might hold it better as I have a 70-300 on the side and it fits great. Also, I have not had to put this onto a small plane, if fits great into regular plane bins. It is smaller than most carry on bags today, but small planes are much smaller.

Q: 10. It will work as Hand luggage in the airport?

A: Totally! I use this and a backpack on flights. Fits in overhead nicely.
