The 120V 24861BI Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol 72.5 x 116" Ceiling-Recessed Motorized Screen (fabric, roller, and motor available separately) from Da-Lite is designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim. The Advantage line of projection screens is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening in the ceiling, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

Tensioned screens ensure the smoothest surface possible, and the screen features a closure door that hides the open space and screen in the ceiling, providing a cleaner aesthetic. The screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage, and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Note: This box is part of a system. To complete the system you will also require the fabric, roller, and motor assembly. Purchasing the box first allows the box to be installed during the "rough-in" phase of construction. The screen and other components can then be installed once construction is complete. Please be sure to select the fabric, roller, and motor assembly with the exact size and features as designated by this box. The fabric, roller, and motor that goes with this model number is: 24861FI.

Q: 1. I have Novatron M 500 monolights. My sessions takes around 2 to 3 hours. The modeling lights are on the whole time. Will this overheat the box?

A: This softbox is fine for modeling lamps that are 250 watts or below.

Q: 2. What is it's length when closed?

A: Hi. It's length folded/closed is approximately 49,21 inches / 1,25 meter.

Q: 3. Can this case for the 116 work for the Q3? It is muck cheaper than the Q3 case.

A: No, the Leica Protector for Q Typ 116 Half Case will not work for the Leica Q3 Digital.

Q: 4. Is the interior color of the dark blue case also dark blue, or something else?

A: The interior of the Case Logic Advantage 14" Attaché (Dark Blue) is grey.

Q: 5. Hi! Just wondering if this will work with continuous light? I have the Spriderlight TD6!

A: I use a Yongnuo 300 II LED light in it and it works great for my purposes. However the 300 isn't the brightest light so you may want a bigger light source depending on your uses.

Q: 6. How shallow is this when opened up? (Comparing this to the Wescott XXL Octodome.) Also, why does it say 300 w/s max? Can I use a Prophoto B2 head with this?

A: The Mega is heat rated for 300 watts (continuous light) not Ws(Watt seconds). The 300w rating makes it incompatible with high heat continuous lights, but it can be used with almost all strobe units including your B2.

Q: 7. How deep is this box, front to back?

A: This softbox would measure 32 from front to back.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with an Einstein?

A: I have mine set up with an Einstein!

A: Mine is approx 47.5" x 47.5" at edges. Diffusion panel is approx 44" x 44". It is 29" deep inside if measured to edges, and 21" deep inside if measured to diffusion panel. Add 2" for a cap end, and you get 31" external length. Collapsed: 49.5" x 6".

Q: 10. can this be used with a spiderlite td6?

A: Hi! Did you ever figure out if this works with the TD6?
