Q: 1. How does this light compare in brightness, from real-world experience, to the AadynTech ECO Punch or Jab lights?

A: There has not been a side by side of the Aputure LS 600d Pro Light Storm Daylight LED Light (Gold Mount) in comparison to the AAdynTech ECO Punch LED Light Fixture or the various AAdynTech Jab Light Fixtures that we are aware of. Also, the lights mentioned are different lights, each with different designs. The Aputure 600d is a mono-light design. It allows the use of many different types of modifiers compared to the other brand you listed. Looking at the specifications, the 600d Pro has less output in terms of brightness between the 600d Pro and the AadynTech and Punch lights. The 600d Pro has a listed output of 8,500 Lux at 9.8 feet (3 m) using the Hyper Reflector, though its output can be increased to a maximum of 29,300 Lux at 9.8' (3 m) when using the F10 Fresnel (Spot 15°), and slightly less at 11,440 Lux at 10 feet (3 m) when using the F10 Fresnel (Flood 45°). The Punch Daylight is 80,237 Lux at 10 feet (3.05 m) without diffuser. The Jab light is 29,690 lux at 10 feet (3.05 m) without diffuser.

Q: 4. To confirm - it is possible to use the Aputure ellipsoidal lens system on this light?

A: Yes

Q: 5. Can a 5 pin DMX cable be used to connect the control box to the light? (The cable that comes with it says 5 pin XLR... doesn't say "DMX" anywhere.)

A: Yes you may connect a DMX 5 pin cable to the control box for use with a DMX control board or a wireless DMX system.

Q: 6. What's the SSI rating?

A: Smallrig does not have anb SSi rating for the SmallRig RC 450B COB Bi-Color LED Video Monolight. And many companies as of now do not. The rating they have tested the light is, CRI 96 | TLCI 97.

Q: 7. Can I use a 98Wh v-mount battery such as the indipro... if so can I estimate I'll be getting 15 minutes of light with each battery?

A: The IndiPRO tools battery https://bhpho.to/31ZjPvS can support a 12a load so it would work. You will need a pair of them on the light to run it. With a 350w peak draw for the light a pair of 98w batteries will last about half an hour.

Q: 8. Is there an adapter to allow the use of Broncolor modifiers on this head?

A: If you are going to use the Aputure on a Broncolor softbox just get a speedring for Aputure, their is a universal adapter for the Broncolor Para but not for Broncolor reflectors.
