That being said, a weak point is definitely swivel counterweight hook on the back. I've not taken it apart to see how it's attached, but it can't be very secure as it swivels to prevent weights from falling off. However the real weak point is the operator. Putting 1lb out at full extension can still severely hurt someone if it's not rigged correctly, regardless of the brand of boom. Always use common sense over manufacturers recommendations.
