Q: 1. Is it possible to add a feature to select focus distance of autofocus lenses through a slider in camera and in bluetooth app? with out touching focus ring

A: I use an Aputure DEC Lensregain Wireless Remote Adapter on my BMPCC 4K and it works with my Canon EF-S 10–18mm f/4.5–5.6 IS STM lens, my Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM "kit" lens, my Canon EF-S 70-200mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens and my Canon 20-35mm f/2.8L EF lens in Blackmagic's window mode. I have heard on the BM Forum that it works with the Sigma 18-35mm lens too. The wireless transmitter supplies power to the image stabilization which works fine. It has a .75 focal reducer lens and provides wireless control of the iris and focus with 2 stops you can set and variable focus speed. The lanc control doesn't plug into the camera so there is no remote start and stop however. Although I have no experience using a Metabones Speedbooster, several people on the internet say the Lensregain's quality is on a par with it. It should be noted however that there is no electrical connection with the BMPCC 4K, so the autofocus and the iris control of the lens from the camera doesn't work. Being a compact unit, I intend to use the Lensregain with a gimbal. I received a SmallRig Metabones Adapter Support for BMPCC 4K 2247 to provide support for the Lensregain on the Smallrig full cage. It worked fine. I also got the mount for the Samsung T5 SSD to work on the second try after installing the Lensregain transmitter first. The first time there was no signal to the camera because the transmitter was too close to the T5 mount. I ordered the remote cable to place the transmitter away so it doesn't ruin the socket. In addition, I got the focus to work with a Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens but found that a hard rubber doughnut on the lens has a tight fit against the Lensregain and there is no exposure control through the Lensregain or IS on this lens. I have also used very old Olympus OM (obsolete) mount full frame manual focus and manual aperture lenses with a Canon EF adaptor on this setup thanks to Blackmagic's window mode.

Q: 2. do Sony lenses fit on the 4k black magic?

    A: They do not unfortunately.

Q: 3. I just received my camera and it cannot autofocus( I don’t mean continuous autofocus I understand it’s not capable of doing that). Anyone knows how to fix this?

A: The camera will auto focus by tapping the screen in the area of interest. This will work with lenses with electronic focus. If the lens is a manual focus lens, it cannot be controlled by the camera. If you continue to have difficulty, you should contact Blackmagic Support in your region.

Q: 4. Will the camera work with Ronin S gimbal?

A: Initial testing shows that it should. It is best to check with the gimbal vendor.

Q: 5. Can the Atem Mini Pro control it?

A: Yes. All ATEM Minis can control the Pocket Camera 4K and 6K.

Q: 6. Is it true that it is the same sensor as the GH5s?

A: Yes it is the same sensor. The listed sizes from Panasonic and Blackmagic are not the actual physical size of the sensor, but the available pixel sensor size. The physical size of the sensors is the same. Both use the IMX294 Starvis Sensor. But both do not use the entire Sensor as the sensor is slightly larger than M43 and the Blackmagic does not shoot 4:3 unlike the GH5s.

Q: 7. Can I use this with the Tilta gold mount plate for the fx6?

A: You can use Watson Pro 4 x High-Draw 158Wh Slim Batteries with a Tilta Battery Plate for Sony FX6.

Q: 8. I have an external battery that outputs 14v - would this be okay connected to the DC input on the camera? What is the acceptable voltage range in the DC input?

A: The acceptable voltage range on the DC input is 10.8V to 20V.

Q: 9. Would the GH5 Metabones work with this camera?

    A: yes

Q: 10. are you able to turn the battery off while connected to camera?

A: There is no way to turn the battery off while it is connected to the camera.
