A: The Samson SR350 Over-Ear Stereo Headphones (Special Edition Blue) can connect to older iPhone models directly using a 3.5 mm TRS connection. However to connect a newer iPhone that only contains a lightning connection you can use Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (APLAADAP).

Q: 4. Do these headphones come with velour pads?

A: I have sourced these headphones locally (in Australia) and from BHphotovideo. The local ones had vinyl pads and the BH ones were velour. I have worn both for extended periods and find the comfort and sound quality to be the same. Great sounding cans and easy to live with during both recording and mixing. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Q: 5. Is a head phones amp needed to get the best sound out of these?

I'm a bit of a headphone nut and have a collection of probably 20 headphones from different manufacturers and price points - going from $20 headphones to one costing in excess of $1200.00. I realized I did not have a Samson headphone in my collection. I must say I'm impressed by this unit. Given that they are studio headphone, the sound is very balanced with good bass and very pleasant high notes that are never shrill or fatiguing. For the money, these cannot be beat! 5

My music classroom uses up cheap headsets because teens think they are disposable (try buying 30 twice a year - eek!) These get treated like pro equipment because they are comfortable, sound very good, and have a substantial size worth hanging up instead of just dropping when the bell rings. 5

I use high end headphones for detail midrange editing work and these to get the best preview of how ordinary people with ordinary headphones and speakers will hear the sounds. This is the headset I use the most for everything else and if I accidentally break or lose these they are inexpensive enough to replace with another SR850B. I haven’t heard a better set for the price. 5

We really had a difficult time finding this type of headphone that connect directly to a TV. My elderly father needs them to hear but he had trouble remembering how to use the wireless, rechargeable ones. Really appreciate that we were to find them at B&H. Thanks for having these available! 5
