A: I have not tried this adapter with Sigma's DG 85 F/1.4, however, I have used it with the Canon EF 85 f/1.8 and it works just fine with my Sony A7II. Just note that on Sigma's website they have a listing of all their compatible lenses that will work with this adapter in which its most of their Art lenses along with some contemporary lenses like the 17-70 2.8.

A: The MC-11 will only be compatible with EF/EF-S mount Sigma Global lenses. The adapter is programmed with a library consisting of Sigma Global lenses. When attaching a lens, the adapter identifies which lens from the library is attached. If the lens is not in the adapters library (isnt recognized) the adapter will not function. So, the adapter will not be compatible with Canon lenses.

A: I bought this to use with the Sigma 150-600 zoom, and the lens to camera communications are very good. It does however slow down focus a bit, but is 1000 times better than the Metabones adapter (I used with my Canon lenses on the a6) that would totally lock up the camera to the point where I had to pull the battery to get it back up and running again. All in all, not bad (and the best I've found).So, my general advice is to use a converter that is made by the same manufacturer as the camera (or the lens) you're trying to connect, so the camera doesn't have to translate a translation!

A: I agree with Roberto's answer.Somme Canon lenses work (not 100%) and others don't.Il my experience with A6300, 50mm 1.8II and 28-135mm do not work. 24mm 2.8 IS, 85mm 1.8, and 70-200mm 4 IS work just fine, including face detection. Same for Tamron 17-50mm.Lock-on AF and some other minor AF modes do not work with none of them. Sigma shows in their website a compatibility table for their Sigma EF lenses: They are not 100% compatible.Conclusion: I am quite happy with my MC-11 but I will probably order at least one Sony lens to get the very best from my 6300.

A: Sorry, I don't own that lens so I can't give you the answer you're looking for. The 35 and 24 ART lenses seem to move through the focus range at about the same speed with this adapter as they do on my Canon. Those lenses on the Canon body seem to lock focus quicker, though. On the Sony A7II with this adapter, focus seems to hit just as fast but then the lenses do little micro focus adjustments. Hope this helps.
