A: The Sigma 50-100mm lens is a wonderful device and we are concerned to hear you are having an issue with it. In this case however, the solution is simple. Take the quick release plate from the top of your tripod head and screw it into the small hole on the bottom of the lenses tripod collar. Once that is secure, attach the lens to the tripod via the quick release. Be sure to tighten the collar with the knob that is on one side. Attach your camera. If you need to level the picture, loosen the collar knob. Do the same if you wish to go from landscape to portrait orientation.
