A: The GX9 does not take a remote cable, it has wifi/bluetooth and can be controlled via a smartphone.

A: The focus ring is used to manually focus the lens in situations where you need to precisely obtain focus in an image. You will need to switch your camera to manual focus.

A: It means you can buy a mic. seperately, from the company or use any other mic which usually fit the hotshoe and plugs into a 3.5 on the side of the camera. There should also be a place for headphones to monitor and adjust the sound.

A: Verify with the manual, but my read of the manual is that only an Android or iOS device will do, there is no wired remote port. Newer devices that have low power Bluetooth can connect for long uses. At this time there also does not appear to be a Panasonic USB or low power BT remote. Panasonic does have a PC tether app for the other cameras of this generation and that may soon be available for this camera too.
