A: Yes, the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens is compatible with the Sony A7IV. Power zoom functions will not work however since this feature is reserved for Sony FX Series cameras.

A: The lens has yet to be released so the final answers regarding all focus features is not yet known. However, according to a Sony rep, the lens is focus by wire, so the lens does not have traditional focus markings and hard stops. The lens however is parfocal and will maintain focus while you zoom in/out while in AF or MR. In addition, Sony has addressed many cine issues such as breathing, parfocal focus, and axial shift all in a constant aperture lens with excellent zoom range for its intended camera for an excellent price. We shall see soon how this lens does.

A: The Sony E PZ 18-110mm will not start shipping until February of 2017, so we are not able to answer such a question yet. However this lens is said to have an improved design over the FE PZ 28-135mm, so we believe it will allow for a faster zoom.
