This management system can be used in conjunction with various news/edit systems, workstations, connected devices, and users in the field — making it the perfect set of tools for on and offline content. This turnkey file-based content archive management solution comes pre-installed with all client applications that are accessible through a standard IT network, making setup and integration into existing systems a breeze.

Using a central server, the XDCAM archive system can manage all your material and uses XDCAM Professional Discs as the offline shelf archive format. Like XDCAM Professional Discs, all clips on the archive system have a low resolution proxy and a hi-resolution version. Not just video, XDCAM archive manages all your documents, pictures, music clips, and graphics; in fact anything you want!

This intuitive system offers great tools for digitizing, importing, cataloguing, and archiving, besides supporting ingesting of video content from both file-based and tape-based materials. Q: 2. I am looking to purchase the AX700, NX80 or the Z90. My primary use will be to record live band in low light. The video editing software I use is CyberLink Power Director 17 64bit. Will I be able to edit footage from any of these 3 cameras with this software or will I need different software?

A: Yes it will. Cyberlink Power Director 17 is able to import and edit MP4 (XAVC S, XAVC 8bit 4:2:0) files. It will work with the files that those cameras create. https://bhpho.to/2kZCcAM

Q: 3. I'm looking for a 4K video camera with both HDMI & SDI video outputs, as well as XLR audio inputs... which led me to this product. My question is how much background blur this aperture/sensor ratio can produce, and whether a different camera, also meeting the above criteria, might produce better background blur? For example, I read that the aperture is f2.8 when the zoom is set to all the way wide -- but to what focal length would that correspond in full frame mirrorless terms? Thanks in advance!

A: duplicate question

Q: 4. Why does it not have a warranty?

A: This would come with a 1 year manufacturers USA warranty.

Q: 5. When will this ship?!?!

A: If you have already placed an order for this product please email cs@bhphoto.com for an ETA. Or you can email ask@bandh.com if you have not placed an order and want info for new orders.

Q: 6. Can I use the Sony NP-FV100a battery or is it too tall to fit under the viewfinder?

A: Hello. Yes the NP-FV100A is compatible with the PXW-Z90.

Q: 7. Does the time display or embedded time stamp show seconds as well as Day, Hours & Minutes? A must have in a Camcorder.

A: Timecode is displayed as [hour:minute:second:frame].

Q: 8. What are the relevant differences between this camera and the PXW-Z150? Why is the Z150 more expensive?

A: Both cameras offer the same Single 1 Exmor RS CMOS Sensor, 12x Optical Zoom, UHD 4K up to 30p and XLR inputs for high quality audio. The Z90V adds new features such as Phase-Detection Autofocus (AF), 4K HDR with Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Super Slow Motion at up to 960 fps. While the Z150 still offers a larger form factor, which is something that some shoots desire.

Q: 9. I tested this camera in the field for some weeks and when I got back, surprise - the video noise is very high, especially the colour noise. Even at 0dB when you apply corrections in the post the images look ugly. Compared to X70 it is very noisy. I used a customised picture profile (Vortex Media), not Slog, but I really don't know why this noise. I miss the old X70. I started a documentary project with X70 and it looks much much better on that camera (with colour corrections applied). Please help... does anyone know why this happens? And if this can be corrected?

A: If you are getting high nose even in well-lit conditions, I suggest having the camera checked out by Sony.

Q: 10. this camera launch in India

A: We can ship this camcorder to India via DHL. Other shipping options are not available at this time. This camcorder is expected to start shipping in December 2017 to those who have pre-ordered.
