This is a great little LED! Under the right settings, you can use it as a nice fill light, but primarily makes for a great kicker or hair light. The high CRI rating ensures it will blend will with natural daylight and its rugged build will ensure it will handle the most grueling shoots. Oh, and it's light too!

As a semi-pro videographer I sometimes need external, natural light. It's not always easy to find a good quality LED on-camera light. When I found this one I was looking forward to testing it out. And I have to say it works as promised. The light doesn't fade and looks natural on film. It's light to add to your camera and you don't need extras for holding it in place. I would recommend this LED light to all my colleagues.

The 160 is brighter than lights three times its size. The controls are easy to use and intuitive and the color variation is near perfect. I used it for an interview but even with filtration it's almost too much. It's a perfect hair light (see attached screen capture) or fill light. The 160 is also sturdily built with a solid metal case (nice blue!). Mine fell from about 6 feet and still worked like a charm. I'm getting another one. Buy with confidence, my friends.

This light, having an aluminum housing, feels solid and durable (yet to be seen). The adjustments for color temperature and intensity work well, and the unit puts out a blinding amount of light at full blast.

I was amazed at the build quality of LED 160 on camera light. I use this light for run and gun shooting. Variable color temp is awesome when your moving from tungsten into day light, and it has a dimmer.

If you are looking for an On Camera video light that packs a punch, look no further! I have looked at many different lights but this light is perfect for shooting WEDDINGS as well as CORPERATE events! The Dracast 160 boasts having a 20' light throw, and it DELIVERS ! Unlike many lights that may have a HI-LOW position, this light has a variable dial that enables you to deliver just the right amount of light as necessary, saving your subjects from squinting or worse, turning away. This feature also saves on your battery consumption as well. I have several SONY NP-F970 BATTERIES. When I first purchased the light, I attached one of these batteries, turned the unit on full, set my timer, and TWO HOURS later the light was STILL ON. Because its LED the light remains cool. The Variable Color Dial is just as easy to use. In my experience with this light, I find myself always around the Midway Point on the color adjustment dial. The case of this light is aluminum, and very well constructed. This is a SOLID, QUALITY PRODUCT. My studio shoots with SONY HXR-NX100 Cameras. These cameras have the typical side mount mic holders. The reason I mention this is because the ball head shoe mount that is included with this light is OK, B U T, if you don't need to tilt your light (using a Ball Head) leave the included shoe in your bag and purchase a ProMediaGear Cold Shoe,Hot Shoe Male Stud 1/4-20 ($15 from B&H). This is simply a STRAIGHT metal shoe mount that is about an inch tall, just enough to elevate it over my shotgun mic, eliminating the possibility of your new light flopping over if you were to use the included Ball Head shoe mount. The other thing I did was use a simple rubber washer when attaching the shoe mount 1/4 stud to the bottom of the light itself, preventing it from twisting left or right.

The aluminum body makes it way better in the field with all the bumps, etc. The power tap cord is a great add for those cameras with a power tap. And lastly, the light throw is a solid 15 - 20 feet for good fill for interviews.
