The Kodak 100 x 300mm #16 Yellow-Orange Filter is a general contrast filter, primarily for use with black and white film. This yellow-orange filter noticeably darkens skies, helps to cut through haze, and improves overall contrast. When compared to the yellow #8 and #15 filters, the #16 creates a greater separation between clouds and sky and further lightens yellows and reds within the scene.

The #16 filter has a filter factor of 4 and requires a 2 stop increase in exposure for normal results. Wratten 2 filters are constructed from gelatin for ease of use and consistent performance. When compared to original Wratten filters, Wratten 2 filters are more rigid and durable, easier to handle, and less sensitive to humidity, static cling, and fingerprints.

Q: 1. Hi. Will this Panasonic 100- 300mm lens work with an Olympus E-M10 Mark2 and if so are they any features of this lens which would be limited by using on the Olympus? Thanks in advance.

A: I use this lens on an em1, and am thrilled with its performance. It is sometimes underrated vis a vis the longer, more expensive Panasonic, but don't let that deter you; this is a great lens at a great price. Just be sure to turn off the in-lens image stabilization and rely on the in-camera stabilization on your Olympus body. Go for it. You won't be sorry.

Q: 2. Can you use this lens for a Lumix G95?

A: Yes. The Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II POWER O.I.S. Lens is a Micro Four Thirds mount and fully compatible with the Panasonic G95 camera.

Q: 3. What to think about when using this lens (on a G85)?

A: Make sure auto focus and image stabilization is on, up the ISO, and consider using a tripod. Otherwise have fun.

Q: 4. can you use this lens with the blackmagic zoom and focus demands on a blackmagic studio 4k camera?

A: No.

Q: 5. I am using a MeFoto backpacker tripod for my Olympus 10 Mark ii camera for which a tripod collar is needed with the 40-150mm pro lens (wt. 1.7lbs). Will I need a tripod collar for this lens (wt. 1.15lb)? If so, is one available?

A: There is no tripod collar accessory for 100-300, You should will fine using it without one.

Q: 6. Is the manual focus ring tied to the autofocus system or is it a true manual focus with measured markings? Asking because my Olympus 75-300 just failed and is not even usable as a manual focus lens. Hope this is clear?

A: There are no measured markings on this lens.

Q: 7. Will this lens allow zoom and focus with the Blackmagic Micro studio camera 4K over SDI?

A: Please check with the manufacturer of the camera.

Q: 8. Does this lens fully functional on a Lumix DMC-GF5 body?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Hi. With a Panasonic DMC-G85 camera does the Dual I.S. (Image Stabilization) work with the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II POWER O.I.S. Lens ? Thanks for any help.

A: Yes, its fully functional regarding dual I.S.

Q: 10. How is the 200mm sharpness on this lens compared to the 50-200 II (not f2.8), but the shorter version of this (100-300) lens?

A: I just recently rented both lenses and I find find them both to be very sharp. I used them both on my GX8 and they rented GX9. I love the size of the 100-300 and the auto focus and success rate of keepers seems equal to the 50-200. The 50-200mm may be the sharpest lens I've ever used. I am still deciding between the compact size and value of the 100 – 300; the sharpness of the 50 – 200mm and the reach of the 100-400.
