The Movcam MM1 MB Sony NEX-FS100 Kit 2 With Mattebox/Follow-Focus/PL Mount delivers a professional mattebox, mini follow-focus, PL mount and a lightweight support for the Sony NEX-FS100 camera that's easy to set up and easy to use. The MM1 mattebox features two 4 x 5.65" filter holders, one of which rotates 360°. It's constructed mostly of carbon fiber to save weight, and includes one top French flag and two foldable side French flags, all matte processed for minimum reflectance. A: Yes, the adapter will allow Canon EF lenses to mount on the Sony A7S.

A: Unfortunately the Movcam dovetails do not follow the ARRI dovetail standard.

A: The bodies of the cameras are different, especially in the grip area. The Movcam seem to be designed specifically to fit the version I grip, so I suspect not.

A: I have a Canon Mark III. I purchased the adapter, but decided to return it. I purchased a new Sony A7 camera and bought it to try to use my canon lens. For me the response was too slow to capture the image.

A: The adapter is full fame. On a full frame Nex camera like the A7 you will get a full frame image.

A: You can, but you will loose auto focus capability. However, this product is inferior, I would not recommend it to anyone. It is poorly constructed. Its internal screws became loose and it fell apart within the first few days of usage. I had to glue it together to finish my safari photo shoot!

A: The tripod foot on the Viltrox NF-NEX Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount, D, or G-Type Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera cannot be removed. The adapter is compatible with all lenses with a Nikon F mount. However, this manual adapter does not support autofocus or any camera-to-lens communication.

Q: 10. Will a Sony A7ii fit in this cage?

A: We have not tested this so the combination is unknown. The a7S is (WxHxD) 5.0 x 3.7 x 1.9 / 126.9 x 94.4 x 48.2 mm. The a7II is (WxHxD)5.0 x 3.8 x 2.4 / 126.9 x 95.7 x 59.7 mm. The big dimension of width is the same. The height is 1.3 mm's different: I do not think this will be a deal breaker. The front to back is 11mm bigger but I think that is less an issue. Besides the size, access to the battery and all controls are a consideration with any cage. At this time we will have to wait for Movcam to come out with a a7II cage to be sure.
