A: This is a lens mount adapter. One side is for Pentax K mount lens. Those are not threaded but a specific mount. And the other side is for Leica SL/T mount which is also a specific mount and not a threaded one.

Q: 4. Does this work with the new Leica CL?

A: Yes works fine with the CL. Need to set your lens to fully manual aperture mode (auto close down of aperture doesn't work as there is no electronic connection between the lens and camera. I have used with an old M42 Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens. The only thing I couldn't get to work was magnification of the image for focusing. But if focusing wide open you don't need this as the EVF is good enough. If this is important get a Leica M to TL adapter and then add a M42 to Leica M adapter. The camera recognises the Leica branded M adapter and enables magnification. Downside is you have to buy two adapters.

A: It actuates the G lens aperture blades when you twist the blue ring. You are however guessing as to the actual aperture on a G lens. On non G lenses, if you set the aperture to, say f8, when you twist the ring it goes from wide open to the chosen aperture, in this case f8. This is the same for the F sense to Sony FE lens adapters as well. I use the adapter mostly to use a non-G Nikon 85 f1.4 on the SL
