A: Douglas - If I am correct, this model of Sony is answer model of the HX7U that I have. So since that is true and it still has the LANC connection on the camera, this rocker should work. It is the best rocker that I've ever used because the zoom control in the variable position, works perfectly with no lag time or hesitation. Likewise the data button is one I use dozens of times during a shoot. It will cycle thru the data display in the viewfinder to assist me in showing/hiding the information while recording. I think you will be very happy with this control.
