Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will lenses from my G9 fit on this camera?

A: Yes, both the GH9 and GH6 share the same mounting systems. Feel free to see what lens we have available for the following format https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?q=micro%20four%20thirds%20lenses&filters=fct_category%3Amirrorless_camera_lenses_17912

Q: 2. Can the user always turn off the cooling fan with all video recording modes? Or would the camera restrict users choices in some situations?

A: You can not turn off the fan during video mode. The option is disable throughout all the different video quality. Panasonic Lumix GH6 only unable this option when you switch to photo mode. If you selected fan mode auto 2 the camera will disabled the fan automatically if not needed.

Q: 3. Why is ANYONE making a "vlogging" camera in 2020 that isn't able to send a live video stream out over USB?

A: Vlogging isn't necessarily the same as live streaming, for example - a travel vlogger wouldn't really need that feature, but to your point Panasonic does have "LUMIX Tether For Streaming" but it remains to be seen if this camera will be added to that software.

Q: 4. On the GH5 the crop factor for the "digital extender" function was 1.4. What is it for the GH6?

A: The feature in the GH5 was called "extra tele" but it is not available on the GH6. Instead there is an image area crop you can use which is about a 33% crop.

Q: 5. How many minutes of 4.7k video at 50fps will this camera record to a 256GB CF Express Card?

A: The Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera does not record at 4.7K, but it can record at 5.7K. 5.7K at 50p records at a bitrate of 300 Mb/s. This equates to around 2.25 GB a minute. When recording in this format to a 256GB card you should get about 113 minutes of recording time.

Q: 6. Does the Panasonic GH6 have a 2x and 4x digital teleconverter with the push of a button like the Panasonic G9?

A: The GH6 offers 1.4x and 2.0x.

Q: 7. Since an external ND filter will be necessary with the base ISO of 2000, has anyone determined what strength filter to buy ?

A: Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera will produce images with low-noise gradients of black in the shadows when shooting at ISOs as high as 2000. You could still lower the ISO to 100.

Q: 8. Is this camera supports CFexpress cards?

A: The GH6 has not officially been announced and as of 2/9/22 all specs are speculative. As such, we cannot confirm if the Panasonic Lumix GH6 accepts CFExpress Type A or Type B cards, or if it's limited to SD cards.

Q: 9. Cfexpress b memory card max capacity

A: The Panasonic GH6 (and most current contemporary cameras) does not have any imposed limitations on card capacity in its CFExpress Type B or UHS-II card slots. If you are looking for really large capacities, there is currently a 4TB CFExpress Type B card available for pre-order that would be an excellent choice for the Panasonic GH6! https://bhpho.to/3uD1MeT

Q: 10. Will the GH6 be able to record BRAW externally?

A: At this time the Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera can't record BRAW externally.
