The AKG WMS 470 Vocal Set Wireless Microphone System delivers quality, reliable wireless transmission, flexible features and intuitive control for speech and vocal performances alike. The WMS 470 Vocal Set consists of the SR470 diversity receiver and HT470 handheld transmitter with a C 5 condenser, cardioid capsule. The condenser element's detailed audio reproduction is well suited for speech.

Users can select up to 1200 frequencies across the 30MHz tuning range. This also allows for operation of up to 20 channels simultaneously within the same frequency band or up to 48 channels in multiple bands.

Automatic setup allows for quick and easy configuration to those who are less familiar with operating wireless microphone / instrument systems. Infrared sync between the transmitter and receiver allows for remote channel syncing. The transmitter omits 50mW of output power, is lightweight and operates for up to 14 hours on a single AA (lithium) battery. Additional features include all-metal receiver construction, balanced and unbalanced audio outputs and up to 16 pre-programmed frequencies per group over the 30.5 MHz tuning range.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I control my 580ex II manually using the captien ttl transmitter?

A: I have done this just using manual setup on the strobe. I tend to do a couple of stop difference from side to side, with a reflector and a thru-umbrella on the other side, just to get more interesting variation in the image. I have also use a manually set 580, and that works fine doing it manually.

Q: 2. Hi! I have a 70d , buy these radios along with a flash Bolt VX 760C and 430EX canon, but I can not shoot the two flash only fires the 430, the communication if it works, I'm doing wrong ? please help me! Thank you!

A: Carlo's sorry, I cant really help. I do use 430 flash, no experience with the other flash. I shoot with 60D bodies. I did not keep my vello's they over exposed everything by 3+ stops. I returned them right away, coughed up a bit more money and bought the Phottix Odin system. I love that one! no problems. still cant say if it would fire the bolt flash. one thing, do you have the contacts properly aligned???

Q: 3. Will this work with the YN600ex RT flash? The cheaper knockoff canon flash?

A: The 600ex works with the Freewave Captain but I found that the position of the 600ex is critical because of differences in dimensions. When I initally tried this combination with the flash fully inserted into the Captain, it would not fire, but when I pulled back slightly on the 600ex, it worked. YMMV!

Q: 4. Will this trigger the Canon 600EX-RT without the receiver attached? I would like to use the receiver on my 580 that is not radio controlled.

A: I have not tried it that way.
