The black EVF-1122S 126 12" 2-Way Full-Range Passive Loudspeaker System from Electro-Voice features a 2” ND2B titanium HF compression driver and uses the rotatable Constant-directivity waveguide. It offers a coverage pattern of 60 to 120° and peak power output of 2000W. The trapezoidal enclosure is constructed out of weather-resistant birch and coated with EVCoat for protection from the elements.

The loudspeaker system’s acoustic and rigging designs allow for vertical and horizontal clusters to be built using any combination of loudspeakers from both the entire EVF and EVH series. It comes with Phoenix-type connectors. An externally accessible jumper also selects passive or active operation and an optional 70.7/100V transformer kit simply mounts to the input panel for use in distributed systems.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a way to reduce the 61MP image size when taking RAW photos? For example, the 5D SR has the option to take 50MP, 28MP, or 12MP RAW images.

A: Yes, it is possible to adjust the image size for DNG files in the same way as JPEG files are sized.

Q: 2. What is battery life like with the various recording modes and with the EVF?

A: While Sigma does not list estimated battery life for various video recording modes, the instruction manual does list on page 167 that the number of minutes of recordable continuous shooting is approximately 60 minutes per charge.

Q: 3. Is there an optional electric jumper cord to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF for remote mounting? What type of connection does this EVF use?

A: Yes, Tilta has made one now.

Q: 4. Is it possible to transfer photos/videos directly to your phone via USB-C?

A: It is impossible to transfer photos/videos directly to your phone via the USB-C with the Sigma fp L Mirrorless Camera with EVF-11 Electronic Viewfinder.

Q: 5. I don’t know why the camera has only 1/15 flash max sync. It look so slow compared with other brands ?

A: This camera is not designed with flash use in mind, so they sacrificed sync speed.

Q: 6. Is there a hot shoe on the EVF?

A: No, there is not. If you wish to use hot shoe flashes with the Sigma fp L Mirrorless Digital Camera, you would have to use the included Sigma HU-11 Hot Shoe Unit mounted on the camera. Unfortunately, you cannot use the Sigma HU-11 Hot Shoe Unit and the Sigma EVF-11 Electronic Viewfinder simultaneously.

Q: 7. If you use an APS-C lens on this FF camera, how many megapixels are in the resulting images?

A: The resulting image will have 26 megapixels.

Q: 8. The overview notes 'battery pack provides approximately 240 shots per charge'. This sounds unimaginably small to me, is it based on some maximum application use? I am accustomed to many thousands of images with little battery use on my DSLR, is it typical for mirrorless cameras to have such short battery life?

A: Mirrorless cameras have poor battery life compared with DSLR cameras, although this a bit lower than average for mirrorless cameras--the Sony A7R IV gets 670 shots per charge.

Q: 9. Are there any plans for higher frame rates like 4K 60p or 1080 240p for external recording via firmware updates?

A: We not aware of firmware upgrades for higher frame rates for the Sigma fp L at this time.

Q: 10. Does this camera use the same lenses as the Panasonic S1H ?

A: Yes, the Sigma FP L and Sigma FP. Uses L-mount lenses.
