Celestron Travel Scope 70mm F/5.7 Az Refractor Telescope Kit

The Celestron Travel Scope 70mm f/5.7 AZ Refractor Telescope Kit is designed for portability and ease of use for both astronomical and terrestrial use. Its refractor-style optical tube assembly (OTA) has a respectable aperture that gathers copious amounts of light, and a shorter focal length that produces a moderate magnification potential. A photo-style alt-az pan/tilt head easily mounts the OTA with a simple screw and has a single control handle that allows for smooth movement and locks the altitude in place for hands-free use to minimize vibration. Supporting it all is a photo-style tripod that collapses low enough for tabletop use and extends to full-sized height. The included erecting prism corrects views horizontally and laterally so the Travel Scope can be used as a conventional spotting scope, and it comes with two eyepieces offering 20x and 40x magnifications—although any 1.25" astronomical eyepiece may be used. Everything in this kit—OTA, tripod, head, and accessories—fits inside the included canvas backpack to make it as portable possible.

Q: 1. Does it include the AC to DC power adapter? (In the pictures but a note says not included - ?)

A: The AC plug shown in the picture is to charge the power tank and to plug into the goto computer to run the scope and motor off of AC current

Q: 2. Does this scope come with a hand controller?

A: Yes it comes with the hand controller but I have never used it, I always use the app to control my scope.

Q: 3. Can this telescope accommodate a focal reducer?

Q: 5. Is possible to connect to 220V voltage?

A: he scope comes with an AC power supply with plugs for the US, EU, UK, and AU outlets.

Q: 6. I have never looked through a telescope and am not mechanically or technically inclined. Will such a novice/greenhorn be able to understand the instructions and set up the telescope and be able to use it properly? The information provided about the equipment sounds ominous and a lot of the terminology is foreign to me. However, I have had a lifetime interest in the cosmos and would love nothing more than to observe what is visible to us here on earth.

A: Hello. The NexStar 6 SE is my first telescope so I did some research on information about it on the net. Mainly I found out that the star alignment is a little tricky for novice users, which I confirm after having bought it although it wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected. After a few atenpts I was able to get it up and running smoothly. Other than that I find that it has a very good image quality, has a very sturdy mount and is fairly easy to transport. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it.

Q: 7. will i get any better view then with my vortex viper spotting scope 20 60 80?

A: The objective is twice as large and you can get good 200x magnification with the right eyepiece. Depends what you want to look for.

Q: 8. The free usb charger included, its only for online operations or if I buy it in the store Ill get it too?

A: We offer this deal in our Super Store, as well as Online too.

Q: 9. Can the telescope be used with the Sky Safari App or only the Celestron SkyPortal?

A: Yes, the NexStar Evolution has the built-in WiFi so you can use that with the SkyPortal app. I can not confirm the use of Sky Safari, as that is another company.

Q: 10. Video mentions DSLR's. Have Canon R5 would I be able to mount it on NexStar 6SE & will it find planets and Stars w/mounted?

A: To attach the R5 to the Celestron 6se telescope you would need these 2 parts: https://bhpho.to/42P7TM8 and https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1494990-REG/vivitar_hf_t2_eos_r_t_mount_to_canon_rf_mount.html. And yes the Go-to system will still work when a camera is attached.
