Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

The standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco Pattern Holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

Q: 1. Are two of these 11" lights ideal for talking heading videos at a computer desk or would a larger light with a softbox/dome be more ideal?

A: This would be a good choice and would take up less room than using softboxes.

Q: 4. How do I connect this filter to my Olympus Zuiko f/4 300mm PRO lens?

A: I have no idea how you would attach a 2" Alpine Astronomical Baader Neodymium Moon & Skyglow Filter (2") BH #ALFMS2 • MFR #FMS-2 1 review Alpine Astronomical to a lens having a 77mm opening

Q: 5. Fan noise? Are they quiet like a PC type fan? Is there a switch to turn off if needed? How warm do these get at full power? battery life at full power? Thx for your time.

A: The fans are very quiet and can be turned off. The light does not get too warm to touch. Two 98 watt/hour V mount batteries will run the light at full power for just under one hour; about 55 minutes.

Q: 6. The Mini Moon is pictured with a Watson Pro 14.4V 158Wh Slim Li-Ion Battery, which I know is NOT included. What pair of NP-F type battery is the equivalent of the Watson battery, and am I better off with one (the V-mount battery) or the other (a pair of NP-F batteries)? Thanks!

A: Two Watson NPF975 (or similar) would come closest with 115 watt hrs. That would run the light at full power for 1.9 hours. A 158Wh V mount would run it for 2.6 hrs.

Q: 7. How many DMX channels and what does each channel control? The documentation just explains how to set the DMX address of the light only.

A: This light has 512 channels with the DMX-512, you can adjust the brightness and color temperature.

Q: 8. The Mini Moon User Manual points out the D-tap connector on the unit on the Product Overview illustration page, but not a single word about its practical use or limitations. Any advice?

Baader makes some great lenses and filters, I have yet to be disappointed and this one is no different.

The Genaray Mini Moon 11 light is a super portable and flexible lighting solution.

I've used this light on a few projects now and my takeaways are this:

I'm impressed with the quality of light that this puts out, skin tones were flattering and it has a wide range of color temps so I can match pretty much any scenario
It's light and portable
You have a plethora of powering options, V-mount, Sony batteries or wall power, I really appreciate having all the options
Full RGB light, this light is so versatile that it now comes with on every job, not only can you dial in pretty much any color it has 20 built in preset FX
The screen and buttons are easy to read and use
Build quality is also good, it's light but at the same time I feel like it'll hold up to a lot of use.
DMX always nice to have
The light doesn't get super hot even when running it for hours
Comes with a pretty decent carrying case

Overall I'm really impressed with this light.

I bought this to see if it would help bring out some color and detail for my astrophotography. I have little light pollution in my area but it this thing really does what it's supposed to. I did some test shots with a colorchecker passport in regular daylight and the difference is definitely noticeable. There's a very clear boost in color and slight boost in contrast, what I mean is that they appear more clearly and saturated. It's magic! I might even start using this for some regular photography too! I have to use step-down adapters to fit these onto my lenses as I am not using it with a telescope (67mm, 58mm, 52mm). I just wish they made these in sizes native to DSLR/Mirrorless lenses! Highly recommend! Also if you are someone purchasing for a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, Get the 2 version of course, and you will need step-down/step-up adapters to 48mm. Even though 2 is not 48mm, that is the threads for this baader filter. I recommend the sensei filter adapters, cheap and very well made. In order to adapt some lens sizes down to 48mm, you might have to buy a couple adapters and stack them. I had to do this for my larger 67mm lenses. There will of course be vignetting when doing this, but its no big deal to me.

I purchase products from B&H for my telescope. I always receive friendly service and good products. Customer service is available to chat online or call if you have any questions. The Celestron moon filter allows you to see a lot of details especially when viewing the full moon phase. Enjoying this product.

One of the best items I've purchased for my 140mm telescope.
The reduction in sky glow and the contrast improvement add to those Oh, Wow! moments of star gazing.

This filter was easy to use. It screwed onto the bottom of all of my lenses. Views of the moon were improved. I also played with views of Jupiter with this filter, but Jupiter was too dim to be enhanced by this filter, at least where I was located near a city. I posted my moon photo (attached) on social media and got a lot of positive reactions and comments. Everyone likes detailed photos of the moon. The photo doesn't do justice to what I saw with my eye. Can't wait to get views of the termination line in the future.

I bought the moon filters just before the last super moon, and B&H was able to get it to me in just a day. I've only used the darkest filter so far, but it vastly improved the view and was well worth having.
