Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the wireless strobe command units from Profoto or Paul Buff? What about Pocket Wizards? Do I need a special adaptor? Also wondering about small wireless speed lights.

A: I use the HVL-F20M as a camera trigger for remote flash HVL-F43M. The metering is spot on with this combination and I would not consider the HVL-F60M. I would rather purchase two F43M's and have more flexibility. The hotshoe on this camera is proprietary so you may need the ADP-MAA hotshoe adapter from Sony for third party flash triggers. I have not tested it, but studio strobes should work fine with this adapter.

Q: 2. For longer dolly moves, I'd rather get speedrail than connect two separate pieces. Is there a way to adapt speedrail or solid pipe into this bracket system?

A: If you want to go speed rail, we believe that you would have to come up with speed rail bracketry. While the actual dolly appears pipe diameter agnostic, the rail brackets are not adjustable to other diameters. We are rather sure speed rail is larger than the pipe that comes with this kit.

Q: 3. can I use my leica lense on sony alpha a7 11 body wit an adaptor?

A: Hi there! The functionality of third-party lenses is not guaranteed. Even though a third-party lens may not be able to communicate with the camera for Auto Focus (AF) and Auto Exposure (AE), pictures may still be able to be taken by setting the camera to Manual (M), then manually setting the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and focus. -Jerome

Q: 4. What's the diameter of the rails?

A: The diameter of the rails 1 1/4 inches in diameter.

Q: 5. Sony a7 ii vs a7 sii

A: I shoot with the Sony A7II. I love the camera. I would consider the A7II to be more of a general do all mirrorless. The A7s is a bit different, as instead of 24 mp it has 12.3. The A7s is much better for low light,ie wedding photography, etc. The S is also twice as expensive as the a7ii. Keep in mind that both cameras go through batteries quickly, so you will need extra batteries ( i have a total of 4 batteries). All of the Sonys now have 14 bit uncompressed raw, so the image quality is just great!! Either way, I believe you will enjoy the Sony Mirrorless cameras!!Mark S.

Q: 6. How does the A7II perform in low light for video recording compared to the A7S?

A: It's nowhere as good. Because it's a 24.3MP image, whereas the a7S uses the full frame to pack low light information into a 12MP image.

Q: 7. Can this camera be used for sports

A: The camera is able to shoot continuously at a good clip, which is great when the subject is moving. I did not purchase the camera for the purpose of shooting sports. If I wanted to take photos at school sporting event, I think the camera would be excellent, but if I was going to shoot the event professionally, then I would need to look at lens and lighting accessories.

Q: 8. Would this work with a Zfc?

A: Yes. The Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR Lens is fully compatible with the Nikon ZFC camera.

Q: 9. Are there any macro lens that will fit the Sony a 7II ?

A: There s a Sony 100mm f/2.8 Macro, a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8, but you can also just get an adapter and use the usual Canon/Nikon Macros.

Q: 10. Hello! I have 75mm fluid head. Can I use this with this dolly? :)

A: Yes, but a bowl adapter will be needed please look into the following item. ProMediaGear 75mm Bowl Adapter https://bhpho.to/2UWWUDH
