The black 8 x 8" Tom Case from SKB is tough-minded, durable case for your valuable drum. It's manufactured to accommodate one drum within its rotationally molded polyethylene frame and protect your instrument both inside and outside. The exterior is a hard shell, D-shaped design and accented with SKB's Roto-X molded pattern that allows you to stack similar cases. The inside is padded to be extra gentle on your drum.

The case comes with pedestal feet that maintain stability when it's placed on the floor. Closing the case is achieved via the heavy-duty, wraparound web strap that contains a high-tension slide release buckle to provide rapid access to the interior.

Rotational molding is a 3-stage heating process that results in evenness all around the edges of the case. The polyethylene material is inserted into a mold, and then gradually rotated until the material sticks to the edges of the mold in an even pattern. Once cooled, this plastic material forms a strong bond that minimizes sagging and potential collapse. This case is manufactured to such high standards that it comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with my canon eos r and rf 24-70 f2.8 lens and can we shoot vertical reel vidoes with this gimbal

A: Yes, And very well at that the following unit offers a 7 lb Payload support system.

Q: 2. Is this hood reversible? Made of metal?

A: Its made of Aluminum and its not reversible

Q: 3. Will it hold Canon 500 mm f4 lens with lens hood inverted?

A: Yes it will depending on the size of the lens. I would recommend making sure it is smaller than the internal dimensions of the bag.

Q: 4. Do you need a evf to use this lens? Is this blocking the viewfinder? I have a m9.

A: No

Q: 5. Does it shoot raw format?

A: No

Q: 6. So, umm, how sharp are the images taken at 960mm?

A: The image quality is equal throughout the range.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with canon EOS R with 24-105 f4 RF lens?

A: Yes it should be. This gimbal has a 7 pound load capacity, the combination of EOS R and 24-105mm lens weighs just under 3 pounds. You should be able to balance that camera and lens on this gimbal.

Q: 8. Has anyone ever used the Noctilux 0.95 on a Fuji X mount camera? If so, how did the images look? Thanks.

A: I haven't tried that setup, but I do have that lens. I use it with the Leica M (240). I know that the Fuji X series cameras have focus aids, and you should take into account that the lens (purposefully) has extremely shallow depth of field when used wide open. That is, it gives fantastic results when you nail an image, but it does require practice in order to get it right. (Many people use zone focussing, or some variant.) Also, as you probably know, the lens is noticeably heavier than other Leica lenses, and probably heavier than Fuji lenses. Enjoy!

Q: 9. So it is 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg) or 3.2 of as it is states on the official website?

A: The payload range is 0.3kg~3.2kg.

Q: 10. Does it have compatibility with Olympus EM5 Mark II (MFT)? If not then what features will I miss out on if I still buy it?

A: The AirCross 2 is designed to balance and shoot a Mirrorless Camera up to 7 pounds. It will be able to handle an Olympus EM5 II very well. However, the gimbal will not be able to control the camera itself. At this time we are not aware of any gimbal like this that offers control over Olympus Mirrorless cameras.
