The Fat Top II Active/Passive Ribbon Microphone from Pinnacle Microphones is a switchable active/passive ribbon mic that is equipped with switchable active and passive modes. In active mode the mic utilizes phantom-powered active electronics to provide stable impedance and higher output for compatibility with a wider variety of microphone preamplifiers. This mode employs a low-noise differential amplifier circuit designed for high gain while keeping the noise level low.

The circuit is optimized to preserve the tone of the active/passive ribbon mic by choosing operating conditions and electronic components that minimize tonal alterations. The passive mode in turn provides the option for use with higher-gain preamps, where extra gain is not needed from the microphone. For both studio and live-stage miking, the FAT Top II is designed for use on a wide range of instruments such as guitar cabs, vocals, strings, horns drum overheads, orchestras, and more.

A: Thanks for asking! The blue backlight LCD provides better contrast for improved viewing and the keypad is brighter as well. The MultiMAX II has all the same features as the original MultiMAX but we have added a couple more. Infinite Intervalometer will let you trigger as long as you like and SpeedCycler can trigger 16 different remotes instead of 4, If you have ControlTL receivers, it can also adjust power to those remotes from your camera's position. They are available in both FCC and CE frequencies so be sure to use the appropriate frequency for your country.

Do these units operate on different frequencies as audio equipment? Was my problem interference? Will this unit solve that problem? If so, will one unit acting as the transmitter solve this problem ( use my old receivers)? Thanks!

A: The MultiMax II Transceiver operates at radio frequency 340 to 354 MHz. It is possible that there was interference near the stage you were working on. However, changing the channel on this unit and your receivers should help alleviate any issues with interference. You can use this unit as a transmitter or a receiver as needed.

Q: 9. What is the overall thickness of the device?
