Kodak's Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film is a classic high-speed panchromatic film designed for a wide array of shooting conditions. Characterized by its fine grain quality, notable edge sharpness, and high resolving power, Tri-X 400 also exhibits a wide exposure latitude with consistent tonality. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° when developed in standard black and white chemistry, and responds well to push processing. As an all-around, highly versatile film, Tri-X 400 is a standard choice for photographing in difficult lighting conditions as well as when working with subjects requiring good depth of field or for faster shutter speeds.

This item is five rolls of 120-format roll film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on 220 voltage ?

A: Yes Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner works with 220 voltage.

Q: 2. Does this scanner capture ALL of the image surface of slides? I've had slide scanner that do not capture the entire frame of the slide and it needs to be scanned multiple times and edited later, not good.

A: yes

Q: 3. I've read OpticFilm 8100 does not work on Mavericks.Does OpticFilm 8200 SE or 8200 AI work on Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)?

A: Yes it is compatible with Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks.

Q: 4. Will this scan Kodak Kodaslide stereo slides. I.e. will a stereo slide fit into the 35mm slide carrier?

A: No, the film carriers for the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner would not hold the stereo slides properly. You would need to unmount those in order to scan. Or there may be 3rd party holders out there that would work, though we do not carry any currently.

Q: 5. So if one were to use this to copy a 35mm slide (36x24mm) how many pixels would be contained in the resulting file? jpeg and raw

A: The scanner's highest scanning resolution is 7200dpi, and based on some slides I scanned recently that yields an image that is approximately 9300 x 6300, give or take a hundred or two pixels on each side. So just under a 60 megapixel image. The file format you save the image as does not affect the amount of pixels. TIFF is the uncompressed format you can scan. The scanner lets you scan at smaller resolutions as well, which yields smaller and more manageable file sizes.

Q: 6. So the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner doesn't work with Mac computers, is that correct? If so what film scanner would you recommend for a Mac OS 11.6.4 user?

A: The Plustek 8200i SE scanner is Mac compatible with OS 11 and OS 12 (as well as Windows 11). They have updated driver software for the newer operating systems on their website.

Q: 7. Presumably, when sliding old paper mounted slides into the machine, over time it is going to get dusty inside. Is there a way to open it and clean it or is that a chancy procedure (like trying to clean the dust off a sensor of an SLR camera)? What is recommended for cleaning?

A: Opening the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Ai Film Scanner will void an warranty, One suggest was canned air. But I would be very careful as that can release Freon. Or you can try a blower brush.

Q: 8. what is the quickest time to scan a slide? -- with low resolution (say 300 dpi) and without special scanning features turned on. Do these times vary between the 8100, 8200i SE and 8200i Ai

A: How are the images outputted and saved on the disk, i.e., JPEG, TIFF.

Q: 9. How One Touch is the one touch feature?I want to scan thousands of slides to high-res tiffs and later software fix the ones of most interest to me.I assume there will be some initial setup and configuration time. But once this initial setup is done, can I mindlessly feed slides in and push the big button?

A: The Quick Scan button will do auto-adjustments, like auto-exposure.. It is not used as a custom-adjustment that saves the settings for batch scans.

Q: 10. How is the compatibility with 10.10.5 Yosemite?

A: Yes: Plustek lists on their website that the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner is compatible with Mac OS 10.10.x (Yosemite) as well as the current Mac OS 10.11.x (El Capitan).
