One of the great features of the Strand SPX Ellipsoidal series is the interchangeability of fixed beam and zoom lens tubes to the body of the fixture as needed for specific venues and changing productions. This Strand 50° Fixed Beam Lens Tube for SPX Ellipsoidal Light by Philips Selecon is the one to use in small theaters or auditoriums when you have to wash a wide area with light or project a gobo pattern at close quarters. Outfitted with a 50° lens the SPX can output a beam diameter of 9.3 - 28' at short throw distances of 10 - 30'.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the mp count when mounted to a Z5?

A: The megapixels will drop to 10.3.

Q: 2. Is the aperture ring properly designed, continuously variable, or does it click into each stop?

A: I purchased this lens last December. The aperture ring on my lens is graduated in 1/3 stops -- 18 clicks between f2.8 and f22. The aperture ring can be set to an aperture priority automatic ( A ) position past f22. On aperture priority, the lens will meter in fractions of a stop.Hope this information is useful to you.

Q: 3. Does this lens have a compatible teleconverter?

A: Unfortunately there isn't a teleconverter compatible with Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens.

Q: 4. Fuji 55-200mm

A: 50-140 has much much faster focus, and 50-140 is also weather resistant. But the 55-200 is great for a backpack or a weekend trip if you don't really need a 2.8 lens. Very sharp.

Q: 5. The lens has image stabilization. The Fuji X-T4 has in-body image stabilization. Are these two systems to be run simultaneously? Does this produce a better result than if only one system is running? And if the body is mounted on a tripod should both systems be turned off?

A: For cameras with IBIS, when used in conjunction with lenses that have stabilized elements, they typically work in tandem as some forms of stabilization are better in the camera body and some are better in the lens. Quality of stabilization will depend on various factors, such as which axis is the causing the instability/motion and which system is correcting for it. Typically though, results are better with both systems than with a single one. Yes, and no. For faster shutter speeds, the results should be imperceivable. For longer exposures, results again will depend on if there are still any vibrations/instability happening during the shot (usually even on a tripod there can still be vibrations from wind and the ground). I believe the general consensus is still to turn it off, but there are proponents debating on both sides of the argument. Its best that you test the results with your tripod/exposure length and compare the results magnified at 100/200% and see which are to your liking.

Q: 6. Will there be any vignetting if used with the Speedbooster XL 0.64 on the GH5?

A: Not all lenses work but that lens the Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens for Canon EF is listed as compatible by Metabones. But it is not compatible with the in camera stabilization on the GH5.You can see all of this information on Metabones site.

Q: 7. Does this lens have a permanently fixed aperture? If not, does it offer aperture control when used with the Speed Booster?

A: I'm not sure I understand your question, but to answer it literally...No, it doesn't have a fixed aperture...a fixed aperture would be a single f/stop on the lens... The aperture goes from f1.8 down to f22. There is no aperture ring on the lens, so you have to dial your f/stop up and dow using the dials on your camera. I have no idea what a Speed Booster is so I can't answer that. What I can say from using this lens almost every day since I bought it is that it is the single sharpest lens I have ever used and I would buy it again without hesitation or qualms.

Q: 8. Is this lens compatible with the Canon DPAF for video?

A: The DPAF (Duel Pixel AF) is camera based and this lens is compatible.

Q: 9. My new50-140mm lens rattles inside when turned upside down. Is this normal?

A: Yes. Several of the lenses have components that float a bit until power is turned on. It's not a defect and doesn't hurt the lens in any way.

Q: 10. If I move it side-to-side, this lens makes an internal rattle. Any suggestions?

A: The internal rattle is emitting from the Optical Image Stabilizer in the lens. This is a normal occurrence.
