Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

The standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco Pattern Holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

A: According to the manufacturer, these gloves can be hand-washed at a maximum temperature of 86 F(30 C). You can allow them to slowly dry and treat the leather with Heat Leather Balm, BH # HELB50ML. http://bhpho.to/2L56tLQ

Q: 2. I'm confused. I want the 8x8 booth kit (so the full enclosed booth dimensions would be 8x8) but the description here says the finished booth is only 4x4. What do I need to buy to have the larger enclosed booth shown at the very end of the promo video?

A: Unfortunately we don't carry an 8x8' kit. Only the Taytrix 9-Piece Gobo Package Kit 4x4' booth.

Q: 3. Is the internal dimension truly 4x4 and what is the height?

Q: 4. For someone who owns the boom.. can you measure the maximum extension? Ive seen some reference to 83 inches and some to 95 inches

A: Length 46.46 to 85.4"

Q: 5. How is anyone using this "T" slot in a grip head? The locating pin in all of my grip heads prevent the grips bolt from sliding into the "T"

A: The following item requires a grip head to work as boom. Impact Grip Head for Lights and Accessories - 2.5" Diameter (Chrome) https://bhpho.to/3CUzYWN

Q: 6. Do i need to buy kupo grip head seperatly?

A: You will need a grip head to attach it to a stand https://bhpho.to/2IVmajI.

Q: 7. Does the maximum load of 11 pounds include the counterweight? Or is it 11 pounds on the extended end, and then the counter weight is in addition to that?

A: I've personally used it to arm out a Kino Diva 401 with a 15lb sandbag on the back. As long as it's rigged correctly at the knuckle, I'd say the 11lb weight limit is an engineers rating. That being said, a weak point is definitely swivel counterweight hook on the back. I've not taken it apart to see how it's attached, but it can't be very secure as it swivels to prevent weights from falling off. However the real weak point is the operator. Putting 1lb out at full extension can still severely hurt someone if it's not rigged correctly, regardless of the brand of boom. Always use common sense over manufacturers recommendations.

Q: 8. This is shown under accessories for a Mathews Medium High Roller stand, which has a 4 1/2" grip head, but the overview for the Kupo boom arm says it will fit "such as the Kupo 2 1/2" grip heads. Will it fit a 4 1/2" grip head?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. Will this fit on the Kupo c stand riser kit? Wanted to replace the 40" arm with this one since it extends to twice the length for overhead shots

A: Yes, this Kupo Steel Baby Boom can fit a Kupo C-Stand Riser equipped with a 2.5" grip head.

Q: 10. what does the forked thing in the middle connect to?

A: Michael:Thanks for your patience. Doing senior portraits all weekend. The connector or what looks like a fork connects to any Kupo grip head. The baby boom is used to position lights above a client's head, for example when using a beauty dish above their head and about an arms length away. On the other end is a hook to attach a sandbag that acts as a counter balance. You can check the videos on the Kupo web site. This baby boon is a valuable tool in the studio and worth every penny. Hope this helps. Thanks.Greg A.
