The Cavision Matte Box for Sony EX1 is specifically designed to avoid the low microphone on the Sony PMW-EX1 camcorder. However, the ARP1210 and AR100-77 adapter rings (sold separately) are required for use with the EX1. The matte box features a 16:9 hood, two filter stages and a rear clamp with a 120mm inside diameter. The front filter stage fits 4x5.65" filters filter, and the rear filter stage can be rotated 270°, to adjustment polarizers and graduated filters.

A: I guess you could say it is both. If you do not use the deflector plate, it will hit the diffusion material for a shoot through. If you use the deflector plate, it will reflect back into the box and then out through the diffusion material. The 600Ex-rt works fine with this. I have 2 of them with the Octa and the strip.

Q: 2. I am planning to do some baby/toddler/kids photo-shoots with this. Would a single Rapid box be sufficient for indoor shots as well?

A: I've used this setup for headshots, and it works well. I use a reflector to bounce back the light because I position the light at a 45-degree angle. You can also use a white wall as a reflector. The Rapid box is a quick, easy setup for location lighting. Of course you'll want to practice first!

A: I suppose it would be good for two peoplebut I use two when I shoot .

A: No extra baffle included, only the metal diffuser disk.

A: you would need a 5/8 stud with 1/4 female threads. This can then attach to a tripod or monopod which will have male 1/4 bolt.

A: I am not familiar with the light you indicated. I searched B&H but did not find it. At any rate the Rapid Box is set up for speed lights . In my cace the Canon 600RT. It will work well with any shoe mount strobe.

A: This unit is not meant for use with that flash.

A: While the bracket was designed to hold a speedlight, you *could* use an LED video light, if you could find one that has a hot shoe mount, that would fit into the opening of the octabox. This diffuser creates beautifully soft light.
