The Vaddio Audio-Video Bridge enables you to bring Room AV devices into the digital domain. It is a room based HD Media Streaming appliance enabling IP or USB steaming of content originating from audio and video equipment.

The Audio-Video Bridge combines the capabilities of PC capture devices with that of IP streaming devices to create a single solution to digital enabled collection, recording, and distribution content within meeting rooms, lecture halls, and houses of worship. Both USB and network streaming functions are based upon open standards allowing easy integration with existing network infrastructure, services, or software applications for recording, publishing, and delivering media to the Wide Area Network.

The Audio-Video Bridge incorporates open standards of H.264 /MPEG4/AVC network streaming protocols that are compatible with QT, Windows Media, and VLC players. Streaming via HLS or RTSP for live events delivers content of the meeting to the masses. The USB streaming functions utilize MJPEG and standard UVC and UAC drivers eliminating the need for custom software drivers to be installed on the PC. The USB streaming capabilities facilitates using the room’s AV system for PC-based unified communication software such as Skype, Microsoft Lync, and Google+. The AV Bridge emulates a web cam and USB audio device, making PC conferencing or recording a simple plug and play operation.

The Audio-Video Bridge is designed for pro AV applications offering flexible audio and video interfaces and customizable configurations that are accessible from the embedded web server or front panel menu system. The AV Bridge includes 3 switchable video inputs to include HDMI, RGB, and standard definition along with a stereo pair of audio channels selectable between balanced or unbalanced line level inputs. The AV Bridge accepts a multitude of video resolutions ranging from 1080p/60 to VESA resolutions used with PC screens. Automated video processing functions from scaling to color corrections simplifies configuration while maintaining good video quality. An advanced high definition H.264 encoder offers the installer the ability to optimize the stream for the desired bit rate, resolution, and frame rate. Predefined encoding presets allow 1-button activation of the popular streaming profile to quickly transition the room’s application for the next meeting.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. For a client that has a Mini Pro, and a Mini Pro Extreme - am I correct in assuming we can take the ethernet out of the Extreme to the Bridge; an HDMI out to the Mini Pro so that we can stream? Then, do lobby monitors get fed only through SDI, or can the network also pick up the feed and send it to specific monitors?

A: The ATEM Mini Extreme's Ethernet output may be sent to the Streaming Bridge, so that an HDMI output may then be routed to the ATEM Mini Pro for the streaming process. ATEM Streaming Bridge units will be required to receive the Extreme's video output so that it may be converted to the desired connectivity protocol.

Q: 2. Using this camera for streaming to zoom meetings, does the usb out supply video and audio to the computer?

A: When using the Zoom Q8n-4K Handy Video Recorder for streaming you will connect the camera to your computer via the USB-C port.

Q: 3. Is it possible to record each audio input separately while recording video at the same time?

A: This gives you 4 discrete channels to record with.

Q: 4. Can you directly mount a manfrotto 502 video head on this monopod?

A: If your head has a flat base, yes, both the head and the monopod have 3/8"connections.

Q: 5. Can it run off of AC power or only off batteries?

A: The Q2n-4K can be powered by either AA batteries or USB. To power via USB, you can either use USB bus power from a computer or a Zoom AD-17 power adapter (sold separately) to connect to a wall outlet.

Q: 6. Can this be used as a live camera on YouTube through a Mac computer?

A: Yes it can. It has USB webcam functionality.

Q: 7. can the head be removed and used on a slider?

A: The head can be removed but it is useless on a slider. The head on this monopod is a modified version of the MHXPRO-2W with a fixed base, so you would not be able to pan with this head.

Q: 8. Is there a limit in the duration of recording?

A: No. The camera will continue to record as long as it has power and space on the memory card.

Q: 9. Hi! Is the HDMI output a "clean HDMI output" with no camera control or status information obscuring the image? Thanks!

A: The Zoom Q8n-4K Handy Video Recorder will not have a clean hdmi out, but will provide the alternate of USB interface for livestreaming & data transfer. HDMI out will be utilized for playback only.

Q: 10. Can I take the ethernet out of the Atem Mini Pro into a network switch and send the video output to any or all of the network switch ports to output with ethernet to sdi/hdmi converters?

A: Yes, that should work. In the ATEM Control Software you will see the Stream Bridge come up as one of the options to stream to.
