The Vaddio ProductionVIEW HD-SDI Camera Control Console with Built-in Multiviewer is live broadcast production console with HD-SDI/SDI video switching / mixing, a built-in multiviewer, lower screen graphics, and automated control functionality.

It is a seamless broadcast production switcher with integrated camera controller and multiviewer for live presentation environments. Adding the Vaddio TeleTouch Multiviewer Touch Screen Control Monitor (sold separately) provides live video switching with the touch of your finger.

This ProductionVIEW HD-SDI Camera Control Console is a broadcast quality 6 x 2 multi-format, seamless video mixer that also provides 2 discrete outputs for dual bus program feeds (2 independent 6 x 1 switchers / mixers). This system produces only 1 frame of delay which is a critical requirement for live production where image magnification is used.

All 6 inputs are auto-sensing for video resolution, control and camera type. Video inputs include 5 HD-SDI/SDI (480i to 1080p) inputs on carrier class, edge mount gold contact BNC-F connectors and a single DVI-I input on channel 6 that allows for multiple formats (DVI-D, YPbPr, RGBHV and HDMI) with thirty-six additional input resolutions. Input signals include the 3 Gb/s HD-SDI standard (SMPTE 424M) on a single coax (single link), as well as SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 259M. Between the HD-SDI and HDMI outputs, a total of twenty video output resolutions are selectable. The HD-SDI and HDMI outputs provide a distinct advantage when choosing a set of inexpensive monitors or using the Vaddio TeleTouch Touch Screen Control Monitor (sold separately).

The control surface includes a broadcast style 3-Axis/1-Button Hall Effect Joystick with twist-handle zoom control as well as separate pan, tilt and speed control knobs. Transitions (cut, dissolve, wipe) and transition speed can be achieved through user-selectable buttons built into the control surface. A new LSG (Lower Screen Graphic) function allows users to overlay their computer graphics onto the program video output.

The ProductionVIEW HD-SDI Camera Control Console is the suitable HD switcher and camera control system for a wide variety of video applications, including houses of worship, local government and any live event production.

The improved Hall-Effect Joystick includes a larger handle for better grip and a top button that moves the PTZ camera to its home position when pressed.

Users can overlay their computer graphics onto the program video output. A variety of sizes and transparency levels are available through buttons on the console.

ProductionVIEW HD-SDI MV has 6 discrete PTZ control ports that eliminate the need to daisy chain control cabling. This controller is capable of auto-sensing each camera attached including Vaddio, Sony, Panasonic, and Canon (see manual for complete camera compatibility list).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi! Can I use EF-S lenses with this one?

A: Unfortunately, the FotodioX Pro Canon EF Mount Lens Adapter to Micro Four Thirds Camera with Built-In Iris Control is only compatible with the Canon EF lenses. It is not compatible with the EF-S lenses.

Q: 2. WORKS WITH THE PANASONIC S1H?

A: No. The S1H uses the L-mount system, not the M-mount system.

Q: 3. This is an interesting, if confusing, lens. I understand that if I try to mount my canon EF 35f2 to the camera, the lens aperture will be stuck wide open to F 2.0. If I use the IRIS control on the adapter wide open, I will still have an effective 2.0 aperture, correct? If I close the IRIS on the adaptor, will my image become sharper, similar to stopping down the EF lens?

A: Yes, iris control on the adapter is the same as aperture control on a lens.

Q: 4. Does this adapter will work with lenses of apertures below f/2.8, like a 50mm 1.4 for example?

A: This adapter has its own iris so it does not use the lenses aperture control.

Q: 5. i have a sigma 18-250 canon mount will this work with this adapter? I'm not worried with the autofocus i just want to make sure that if I am on manual I wont have any problems with it. Thank you!

A: If it's a Canon EF mount, it'll work ok. Some serious vignetting when wide open though

Q: 6. Will this adapter work with Micro 4/3 Olympus OM-D E-M1

A: No unfortunately it is not compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera due to the way the E-M1 is built.

Q: 7. works with blackmagic pocket ?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter with Built-In Iris Control for Micro Four Thirds Cameras will work with a Black Magic Pocket Camera.

Q: 8. work with the panasonic s1h?

A: No it will not work on the S1H. This is designed for M mount cameras and the S1H is an L mount camera.

Q: 9. I have a BMPCC with the MFT mount & a Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 with the EF mount. Will this adaptor work with my camera/lens combination? if not could anyone recommend a suitable adaptor? I have pasted a link to the adaptor below. Thank youa href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html/a

A: Hello, I purchased this adapter about 6 months ago when I had a Panasonic GH3, so I cannot speak for the BMPCC. I tested the adapter with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and the adapter worked as advertised. It turns all functions of the lens to manual operation, though, and I believe you lose one stop of light. The unit has a solid build quality and fit the lens and camera perfectly.

Q: 10. The picture shows some threads on the inside of the adapter. Does anyone know what size these threads are, and if they can be use to mount small filters?

A: Those are light baffles and are not threaded. They are meant to prevent stray light from bouncing around inside the adapter and causing loss of contrast.
