I just bought an XF23mm f/2 R WR (kit with X-Pro2), and the hood with it seems shorter/shallower, tapering in (instead of out) as it gets further from the front element. A: I bought it to replace the plasticky one that comes with the lens. it also fits on my 35 mm f2.0,it is a much better looking all metal hood.No interference noticed with the cap nor a filter you may use.I just wished it comes standard with the f2.0 series of lenses.

A: The lens is pretty darn sharp, but that is a perk for photography with this lens. As a video lens it's gonna hunt like an American Foxhound. This of course will render you useless or amateur footage.The 25mm 1.7 is a lot better but you will still get occasional hunting.I focus manually 100% on my m4/3 cameras for video right now. However, on my Sony a6000 I shoot 100% autofocus in video. It's a GOD send camera for video without manually focusing :-)Hope this helps!
