Q: 1. Does the come with the high quality woven bag like the 3' Octo?

A: Hi Yinger. Yes, It comes with a high quality woven bag, but I'm not sure if it is the same as the 3' Octa (I don't have the 3' Octa).

Q: 2. Do I need to get a stand with this soft box? If so what kind?

A: i'd say you need a stand if you want the light to not be on the floor.

Q: 3. Do we know of the difference in quality( light quality and build quality) between the new OCF range compared to RFI?I know they are designed to be more portable but at what cost?I can't find any reviews online yet.Cheers

A: The light quality should be similar to the light quality to the RFi light modifiers. Due to the intent of the Profoto B1 and B2 lights (designed for mobility or photographers on the move), the Profoto OCF light modifiers are designed to be much lighter, and are made from strong glass fiber. It was also designed specifically for these light fixtures, which use LED modeling lights instead of the brighter (and much hotter) halogen modeling lights used with Profoto's other studio light fixtures. However, due to the construction material of the OCF light modifiers, they cannot handle the heat of the halogen modeling lights, which the RFi light modifiers were designed for and are better apt to handle the heat. As stated, the light quality may be identical (or at the least, similar) to the RFi light modifiers. The build quality does differ, as the OCF modifiers are more lightweight (and the material make them more economical as well), but they are simply not recommended for use with all Profoto equipment; instead, they are recommended only for Profoto's OCF system. (Do note the B1 and B2 lights can accept all Profoto light modifiers, including the RFi system; it is just the reverse is not so.)

Q: 4. Can I get a speedring for Speedotron.

A: There is the Profoto RFi Speedring for Speedotron Flash Heads B&H # PRSRRS which will connect this RFi 4' Octa Softbox to a Speedotron Black Line or Brown Line M11 head.

Q: 5. hello, could you please help me choose an adaptor that I could use to pair my Profoto A1 and a Profoto OCF Softbox Octa 2’ or any other Profoto soft light modifier that isn’t an umbrella?

A: You may purchase the Profoto OCF Adapter, B&H # PROCFA • MFR # 101130, to use OCF light modifiers such as the Profoto OCF Octa Softbox (2') with the Profoto A1 AirTTL Studio Light.

Q: 6. Will this used on the Profoto Speedlight Speedring?

A: You need special speeding for this modifier.

Q: 7. Will this fit with the Fiilex P360 LED light?

A: Yes, this softbox is compatible with the Fiilex P360 LED Light.

Q: 8. Will this work with a Profoto B2?

A: The Profoto B2 head will work with all profoto softboxes and except the the Click accessories.

Q: 9. Can somebody please tell me what is the difference between RFi Softbox and OCF Softbox? I am very confused by the abbreviation used RFi. Thank you.

A: The RF in RFi stands for recessed front. The OCF version is part of the off camera flash line that are intended to be used mainly with the new B2 heads battery powered heads. The OCF modifiers have a different and lighter weight speed ring and have ribs that are not removable. They are more portable and a bit quicker to assemble. Since the B2 heads are much smaller than the D1 or B1 heads, it wouldn't be very practical to use the heavier RFi modifiers with them.Equally important is the ability to control and shape the light. RFi softboxes have a deeper shape that directs the light forward rather than spreading it to the sides. The RF in RFi stands for recessed front. The recessed front minimizes stray light. It is also used for mounting the optional Softgrid. The Softgrid is a clever tool that creates an even more directed light, which in turn allows for even more precise light shaping. Other optional tools include the Flat Front Diffuser and the Stripmask.

Q: 10. Do I need an extra accessory to use it with the Profot A10? Like a magnet? or is it all included with Softbox?

A: No, The Profoto Clic Softbox Octa has an integrated handle with a stand adapter that magnetically connects to the A10 AirTTL Studio Light, as well as other other Profoto C1 and A series flashes. No additional accessories are needed to connect the Profoto C1 and A series flashes to the handle on the Profoto Clic Softbox Octa as the lights have a built-in magnetic mount for connection purposes.
