The RadioPopper PX-RC Receiver with Canon Mounting Bracket maintains the ETTL/iTTL functions of your camera and flash while adding radio triggering that can fire your flash at distances of 300 to 1,750' depending on the prevailing conditions.

While the receiver is compatible with both Canon and Nikon flash units, this version comes with a Canon mount. When used with the required PX Transmitter on your master flash or commander, slave flash units equipped with the a receiver can get TTL or iTTL signals by radio which are then translated into IR commands without the limitation of having to be in line of sight with each other. Put simply, the RadioPopper enhances your ETTL/iTTL system by allowing it to act like a radio slave.

The 16-channel receiver allows you to cluster flash units in up to 3 groups that can be controlled and fired simultaneously or group by group. The PX-RC gets approximately 25 hours of power-on time from the two included AAA batteries. As mentioned above, it requires use of an PX transmitter for operation.

    Related Questions and Answers

    Q: 1. HOW ABOUT 6D? DOES FIT?

A: No. They are camera specific.

Q: 2. Will this fit my Sirui Ball Head?

A: It depends. If your ball head has an ARCA-type platform, then yes, it should. But to be sure, if it were me, I'd call B&H customer service and ask. They are VERY knowledgeable and can probably tell you for sure.

Q: 3. Is there a way to adapt a sling-style strap that attaches to the tripod mount?

A: I don't see how that is possible. I have a black rapid strap I'm unable to use with the bracket also attached to the camera body. However, I've learned that BOSStrap has a similar strap that attaches to one of the body lugs, rather than the tripod socket. BOSStrap also offers a simple adapter to attach to a tripod strap to convert it to a lug mounted strap.

    Q: 4. Can I use a Manfrotto QR2 quick release with this?

A: You would need to attach the Manfrotto plate under this L-Bracket for it work. It has a 1/4" thread on the bottom for you to do so.

Q: 5. Will this bracket work with the Arca-Swiss compatible Markins ballhead specifically with the lever closure? I have a Markins L-bracket designed for my 5D Mark III, but they don't have an L-bracket specifically for 7D Mark II and their universal won't allow cable release to be plugged in. Screw closure might allow more leeway, but I have the lever. Thanks in advance.

A: it will work fine. i use that Markins ballhead.

Q: 6. Will this L_bracket (Sunwayfoto PCL-7DIIR) properly fit on the 7D Mark II with the standard canon camera strap attached to the camera?

    A: Yes it will.

Q: 7. Anyone have any ideas for l bracket in this price range for a 5d mkii?

A: The least expensive L-bracket specifically for the 5D Mark II without a battery grip is the Kirk BL-5DII L-Bracket for Canon 5D MarkII B&H # KIBL5DM2.

Q: 8. can the sunwayfoto bracket be left on or have an area to attach the strap mounting adapter when using a Black Rapid camera strap?

A: Technically, yes, but be careful. I currently have a 5D III, the Sunway bracket and a Black Rapid strap that comes with the screw-in attachment to the base. The Sunway Bracket has a separate threaded hole that fits the Black Rapid screw, right beside the bracket mounting screw. However, you have to remove it if you wish to switch to landscape orientation with a BR strap that lacks the tripod mount (like mine). That sort of defeats the purpose of the bracket, which is speed of orientation shift. If you use a bigger strap such as the Carry Speed, with the integrated tripod mount, you are good to go. Check to see if your type of BR strap has this feature.

Q: 9. Can you attach the Peak Design strap fastener to the L bracket? I use a Peak Design hand strap, so I need a point of contact on the bottom of the camera in addition to the usual strap attachment. Thanks!

A: Yes you can attach a Peak Design hand strap to a camera with the Sunwayfoto PCL-7DIIR L bracket. Look at the photo on the B&H product page... flat part that fasten to the bottom of the camera... on the right. See the opening? It's as clear as day! Not sure if it's by design or accident, but the Sunwayfoto engineers provide a strap opening right there on the right side of the L bracket. Hence, one end of the hand strap fastens to the normal camera strap anchor on top of the camera... the other end of the hand strap fastens to the bar opening of the L bracket. Eazy peezy. Enjoy! Cheers!

Q: 10. Will the L bracket fit with battery grip on the 7d Mark II ?

A: Unfortunately no, it will not fit the 7D Mark II grip and currently no one makes an L bracket that will fit the grip.
