The VCTSB1 Shoulder Mount Accessory is a stability shoulder brace / chest brace for select Sony cameras. It can also be used to mount a camera onto Sony's VCT-14 or VCT-U14 tripod attachment or directly onto a tripod. A pad on the end of the brace folds up flat to enable shoulder or tripod mounting and flaps down to serve as a chest pad.

The compatible cameras are the PMW-200 / 160 / 100, PMW-EX1R, HVR-Z7 / Z5, HXR-NX5, NEX-FS100 / FS700, and DSR-PD175P series cameras. (The brace may not work with the FS100 and FS700 if the lens and/or mounting adapter used interferes.)

A: This camcorder does have hooks for a shoulder strap. I recommend this Porto Brace Shoulder Strap which is for heavy professional or broadcast camcorders.

Q: 2. After reaching the 30 min recording time limit, does it keep recording and just make a new file or does it completely stop recording?

A: It will stop recording. It will not create a new file and continue to record. It will also not give you a warning or signal that it has stopped recording other than the recording light shutting off.

Q: 3. WHERE IS THE SD/HD OUTPUT OF JVC890?

A: Yes, 720P can be outputted from the SDI connection.

A: Never shooting long time. Don't have any problem. Excellent budget camera.

Q: 6. Does this have a hoe shoe? I only ask because it appears to have covered panels on the top.

A: On this tiny (4 x 2.29 x 1.69" / 101.6 x 58.1 x 42.8 mm) camera, there is no room for a hot shoe. The top left panel is the pop up viewfinder. The middle panel is the pop-up flash.

Q: 7. Will this work with a L-Bracket?

A: While we cannot guarantee this will work with every Acra-Swiss type L bracket made, we will say that in all great likelihood it will with yours.

Q: 8. See when is the mark 5 out?

A: There is no update as of now on when a Mark 5 of this camera will come out.

Q: 9. Is this rig compatible with the Sony FX3?

A: The SHAPE Cinema Cage Kit with Shoulder Mount System for Sony a7 II, a7S II, & a7R II is not compatible with the Sony FX3.

Q: 10. I have this camera and yesterday at a basketball game the lens hood broke (The plastic that attaches it to the lens snapped). Any ideas where I can buy a replacement lens hood?
