The DCI 8/600 DriveCore Install Analog Series from Crown Audio is an 8-channel amplifier capable of producing 600 watts of output per channel and works with 2, 4, 8, and 16 Ohms or 70 or 100 Vrms. Channels can be bridged for powering higher power applications such as a subwoofer. The 8/600 also has channel-independent high- or low-impedance output that is selectable from the rear-panel DIP switches. This allows you to integrate the amplifier into a variety of different setups. Each of its 8 channels additionally features independent attenuators with an attenuation range from 0 to -80 dB.

The front panel of the 8/600 provides a series of system indicators, including level and signal, ready, clip, thermal, and fault alerts for quick visual monitoring of the system. The unit can be integrated into a control system for powering on and off as well as engaging its sleep mode for saving energy when not in use. The 8/600 is 2U rackmountable and ships with 8 male connectors for wiring and an IEC power cord.

  • Based on Crown's proprietary and patented DriveCore technology, these amplifiers are the next generation of PWM technology using cutting edge Class-D amplifier topologies
  • Minimum Guaranteed Power Ratings: Delivers at least the rated power in the specifications over a long period of time
  • Direct Drive "constant voltage" capabilities on a channel by channel basis for 70 Vrms or 100 Vrms amplification without the use of a step-up frequency limiting transformer for higher audio quality
  • Powersave: Includes an auto-standby mode where after 30 minutes of no audio input, the amplifier powers down and consumes less than 1W; this feature can be enabled and disabled via the back-panel DIP switches
  • Advanced PFC universal power supply provides efficiency and is designed to deliver maximum power no matter where the amplifier is located; universal AC input accepts 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz (±10%)
  • Aux Port: Provides additional flexibility for amplifiers to be integrated in control systems for remote on/off and amplifier fault monitoring
  • DriveCore includes five patents that are also included in Crown’s flagship I-Tech touring amplifier
  • Cooling System: Focuses airflow on parts that need it most, maximizing efficiency while minimizing heat and noise

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The first 2 pictures show a different design. The bottom right of the grip First photo says Lock 2nd photo says on/off Which photo is correct? Thanks

A: This grip has LOCK on it, instead of ON/OFF.

Q: 2. What's the diameter of the upper leg sections (in mm)? Am looking to use this with a heavy lens and thicker is better. Related question, is the Series 3 thicker there? What accounts for the weight/price difference between this and the TMA37C?

A: Benro does not provide this information, but we have measured it at 29 mm for the two standard legs, and 37 mm with the added foam of the monopod other leg. The difference between the two tripods you mentioned is the Series 3 has even thicker legs and therefore a higher load capacity (about 5 lb extra).

Q: 3. Is it compatible with Canon EOS 5Ds?

A: No, it is not compatible.

Q: 4. does this work for a6600? i have been looking for a battery grip that fit on the a6600 but it is hard to find. and i also dont think the one for a6500 going to work for a6600 because the battery grip of the 6600 is more likely to the a7iii.

A: This grip is not compatible with the A6600. There are no grips available for the 6600.

Q: 5. Does this come with bag?

A: The GT1545T comes with a draw string dust cover for storage, but not a carrying bag.

Q: 6. Will the new gitzo bird watching head fit this pod ?

A: Yes, it will fit but the tripod will be undersized. You may want to go up a series for the head.

Q: 7. Will it work with Sony a7r IV?

A: No, you will need this grip; https://bhpho.to/3anb98k

Q: 8. Is this tripod or the Series 3 Benro Mammoth better for long-exposure landscape photography?

A: Depending on the head you are using, the Benro TMA37C Series 3 Mach3 Carbon Fiber Tripod would be fine for long exposure photos.

Q: 9. Does this have a ballast hook?

A: Yes it does

Q: 10. How do the rubber feet fit on this tripod? Are they force fit or do they screw on?

A: They are mounted on a plate that has a stud in it and the stud screws into the bottom of the leg.
