I don't use it much because when you intentionally want to pan it sort of sticks as it tries to digitally stabilize your footage and then suddenly jerks to catch up with your pan as you exceed it's crop range. Optical VR in the lens does not do this. You can use both optical and electronic independent of each other, and electronic stabilization only works with video, not live view for still shots.
