Q: 1. What size UV filter goes with VCL-ECF2?

A: Hi Jay - there aren't any threads for screwing a filter onto this. A circular polarizer would cause banding on a lens this wide. For protection, just use the lens cap.

Q: 2. Does the lens + converter come with a tripod collar and foot?

A: Yes the tripod mount ring is included in the package.

Q: 3. Is the 2.6” lens height inclusive of the lens hood/shade?

A: Yes. The lens hood is fixed.

Q: 4. How can I find a rear cap for sony VCL-ECF1 ? The regular Emount rear cap is too small

A: You will want to contact the manufacturer directly for a rear cap: http://bit.ly/1FAO6jI

Q: 5. Why is my film jumping when I'm replaying or reviewing them?

A: I have read some of the other answers and yes there is a difference in the rate at which the frames are scanned and I corrected for this when I edited my movies after they were converted to MP4.However, with my equipment there was a mechanical issue with the small metal clip mounted under the film door that holds the film onto the scanning window. This metal clip is spring mounted to ride on the films edges and hold it against the window and to float over splices etc. Sometimes the clip would stick and not ride up and down and would cause the film to pause for an instant as the frame is being scanned. This would cause the scenes to jump on replay. In some instances especially over a splice it would stop the film entirely and repeatedly scan the same frame. (hang up). I finally used a small jewelers screw driver with a tiny drop of 3 in 1 oil and lubricated the spring and screw on which the metal clip is mounted. This being done with the machine tipped back and the film door open. I then used the screw driver to work both ends of the metal clip up and down over the screw until it moved freely. This would generally allow at least 200 ft of film to be scanned with no problem. I did find that after 2 or 3 more reels of film the problem would recur. So I routinely would use the screw driver to free the clip before scanning reels of film applying more oil occasionally. I would test the tension of the clip by tugging the film through the scanning bed with the door closed. The film should pull through with some resistance. When the clip would stop the film I could not even pull the film through and would have to open the door to release the film. This past winter I scanned 43 200 ft. reels and was able to get all scanned with no jumping or jittering of the scenes. I did have to repeat several reels as I found that they developed the problem while I was not sitting by monitoring the scanning. Hoping this will solve your problem.

Q: 6. Can the lens be used by itself without the converter?

A: Yes, the Hasselblad XCD 135mm f/2.8 Lens with X Converter 1.7x can be used by itself without the converter.

Q: 7. Is there a machine that transfers super* with sound?

A: I'm sorry no, all the scanners we have are without sound. You would have to record the audio separate and sync it up separately in post.

Q: 8. Why does 'menu' button not work? Only shows wolverine on screen briefly then black screen.

A: Something is definitely wrong with yours. The Wolverine screen comes up on mine for a few seconds, then a bright screen with the word Exposure at the top. This is before menu is even pressed... It has been an awesome workhorse machine. I agree you should not give up but reach out to the maker for help. You may just have a bad one.

Q: 9. Will this fit on the Sony a6000 kit (16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses)?

A: No, you will need a prime lens like a 16mm

Q: 10. Can I connect a BMPCC6K to this via HDMI, with the SDI Out going into the ATEM Talkback Converter 4K (and subsequently to the ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K), the SDI In coming from the converter, and the HDMI out going to a monitor without any hitches?

A: The Camera Converter only connects to the Talkback Converter using dual fiber for full functionality.
