Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I trigger the yn560 IV with a yn622 radio ?

A: yes works great

Q: 2. Does the YN560-IV flash work with sony ar7 without adaptor? Also, I'm interested in using it together with two other manually controlled flashes, so would it work if I use a RF603 mounted in my radio slave to control all three, including the YN560-IV? If so, what RF603 model should I buy?

A: As the Sony Alpha a7R Mirrorless Digital Camera has a Multi-Interface hot shoe, which is similar in size to the standard ISO hot shoe, the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite should be able to connect directly to the hot shoe on the a7R's hot shoe. The Yongnuo RF-603C II Wireless Flash Trigger Kit for Canon 2.5mm Connection, B&H # YORF603IIC1, may also be used on the Sony Alpha a7R Mirrorless Digital Camera. You may connect one to your camera's hot shoe, and it can trigger the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlites wirelessly. If your other manual flashes are not the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite or do not have Yongnuo's radio remote built into the flash itself, then the other off-camera flashes would also require the Yongnuo RF-603C II for your needs.

Q: 3. Can this be used on a Canon T5

A: Absolutely! In fact, the second set I purchased was cut into smaller shapes and distributed for use with flashes we have in the classroom. They work GREAT!

Q: 4. So let me get this straight... I can control multiple YN560-III flashes with this flash ONLY?? No separate radio triggers needed? Just this YN560-IV on-camera and 2 off-camera YN560-IIIs? And I can control the power of the remote flashes directly from the screen/controls of the IV?? I understand that all the flashes in this setup will be MANUAL

A: Joe,Yes, that is correct. However, if you want to control four or more, you have to get the XT contol trigger that allows you to have more lights than you will ever use probably. I purchased the 560-XT trigger so I could have three or four that are at various locations. The only manual part is from your flash on your hotshoe - you literally select the channel of the specific flash - raise or lower the power then go to the next channel of another flash, set it to what you want, etc. It is quite impressive.Michael

Q: 5. Is this flash compatible with a Sony RX10 III?

A: no is not for sony

Q: 6. can I use this flash to trigger NY-685, and vise versa ?

A: Not sure. I'm not familiar with NY-685. If it's Manual you probably will or as slave. Manual flashes works between them, as well TTL flashes; but not sure if you want to combine them. Good luck!

Q: 7. Is this compatible with Sony a7ii?

A: Yes! I've used these with the A7Rii and A7Riii

Q: 8. Hi..will this work with my nikon d5200? Im planning to buy if this one work for my camera. Any answer will be appreciated.

A: I do not use a Nikon, however my son (a professional photographer) uses this with Pentax. Previous to my purchase I asked what all it would work with and I was informed that it works with any camera that has a standard hotshoe for the trigger, or on the camera. The only camera I know of that does NOT use standard size hotshoe is Sony. Therefore, I am 99.9% sure it works with any Nikon. I love this flash (purchased 4 of them) ---so I would so go for it.

Q: 9. Is this Compatible with Nikon D3400?

A: I shoot totally on manual so it works well for me. I dont believe this flash has TTL capability though.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with canon R6 ?

A: Yes, the YN560-IV will work with the Canon EOS R6. It is a universal non-TTL-enabled flash, meaning it will be fully manual and trigger via the center pin (and via an off-shoe cord or wireless trigger if used off-camera).
