Q: 1. Hello. the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus HS allows to regulate the firepower from the same control at the head ELC PRO HD 500? because Skyport screen option of selecting only the HD 1000 PRO ELC you look.I appreciate the response.

A: The transmitter does have control of power and does display the ELC500. You can see that in the manual on page 11. The link for the manual is http://bit.ly/1Nc8TMV.

Q: 2. Will this work on my Elinchrom Quadra Living Light Kit with Lead Battery, S Head and Transmitter?? B&H # ELQPSHSR MFR # EL10430.1 (this item has been discounted)

A: It will work to fire the light and adjust the power. It is not optimized for HSS and it will not do TTL.

Q: 3. The D-lite 400RX4 is listed as fully compatible with the remote. What sync speed can I expect with a Canon 5D MKIII?

A: Elinchrom does not list a set of top sync speeds for individual cameras and/or strobe heads. They simply state that the Canon 5D Mark III and Elinchrom D-Lite RX4 would both be compatible with the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus HS for Canon. While they state that you can get up to 1/8000 sec, a specific top maximum number is not given with each camera/flash combination. As such, I would have to recommend to simply test the setup with your equipment, then if needed or you experience banding at the shutter speed you wish to use, then I'd recommend to use their ODS (Over Drive Sync) Setup to fine-tune the Skyport HS's trigger to optimize exposure at high shutter speeds while gaining more light. The ODS value will vary depending on the camera and the flash unit which is used and must be adjusted manually.

Q: 4. Can you confirm that this will work with a Hasselblad X2D 100C ?

A: We were able to test Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Pro for Nikon on Hasselblad X2D with Elinchrom FIVE Monolight for connection and TTL support which worked fine, but we have to say that our test is a simple connection and exposure check. Any specific lighting set up would require a check.

Q: 5. Will this trigger a roto aeos + hvl43m? Plugged into a7iii

A: This transmitter will not work with a HVL43M.

Q: 6. Will this trigger work with the Elinchrom Ranger RX Speed AS pack so I'll be able to get the high speed sync ?

A: The Ranger pack doesn't support high speed sync.

Q: 7. I have a Quadra Ranger 400W pack with Action heads, will the Hi-Sync mode work with my flashes or do I need to puchase the new HS heads?

A: II have used this with an action head on a RX2400. My configuration is mixed with an old AS 3-head triggered using a universal. I spent a little time tweaking ODS and could get reliable operation of the combined units at shutter speeds as short as 1/1000 sec. I was targeting 1/800 sec so I was happy with that result. On a single head type you might do better.Elinchrom says it will work up to 1/600sec using an action head but my experience shows you can get more by tweaking the timing. I'd try that first unless you really need a super fast shutter.

Q: 8. Does every shutter speed/power setting need ODS adjustment for Hi-Sync to work with Sony a7R II above the sync speed, or is it automatic and ODS is just to fine tune and maybe gain a little extra power? (Assuming pairing with an ELB400 and HS head)

A: i'm using the elb400 with an HS head plugged into the A socket. i have been able to use all shutter speeds on the a7r2 without using ods at all. automatic out of the box for me. all power settings work for me, just make sure you have the head plugged in to the A socket

Q: 9. Will the Ares II Flash Trigger Transmitter work with a Phottix Atlas II receiver? 1 of my 2 units went south on me.

A: I contacted Phottix concerning your inquiry. According to Phottix, no, the Phottix Atlas II receiver is not compatible for use with the Phottix Ares II transmitter. The Phottix Atlas II and Phottix Ares II have different frequencies and are not compatible with one another. The Phottix Ares II would be compatible with the Odin II, Strato II, and Odin Lite line of remote triggers and they recommend upgrading to the newer Ares II flash triggers.

Q: 10. I didn't see the Sony a6500 as being supported, but the a6300 is. Has anyone successfully used an a6500 with the Skyport. If so, did Hi-Sync work?

A: Im only Canon shooter, but HS works a bit om the Elinchrom Quadras Action up to about 1/1700, I understand the Quadra HS works the best so hopefully saving as I can...
