Adding color to a specific region of your image, the 150 x 170mm Soft-Edge-Edge Graduated Sepia 3 Filter from LEE Filters produces a tinted, nearly monochromatic brown coloration to isolated portions of the frame with neutral results maintained in the opposite half of the image. This filter's coloring is densest at one edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the color and clear areas. This filter is ideally suited for adding color to an otherwise plain scene or to emphasize and complement existing tones in your image.

This filter is constructed from optically correct resin, measures 150 x 170mm, and is compatible with the LEE SW150 filter holder.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter come in a metal case similar to the 150mm Lee filters?

A: The NiSi Explorer Collection 150x170mm Nano IR Medium Graduated 3-Stop ND Filter only comes with a soft case.

Q: 2. Will this filter holder attach to a tripod? Can one also put the filter holder/adapter in this pouch along with 1 or 2 filters? Thanks

A: The holder will not, in and of itself, attach to a tripod. There is a fabric loop-type feature sewn to the back of the holder which is too tight to the holder to directly attach to a hook on a tripod but you could use rope or similar material to attach the loop on the back of this holder to a hook on a tripod. Yes the holder is large enough to hold the filter holder and one or two filters but I prefer to keep them separate, as I am afraid of breaking the filters so I want to have more padding between my filters and the filter holder.

Q: 3. is there a filter holder for this 150 x 150 filter that will fit on a Nikon 300mm f2.8G lens?

A: Unfortunately, no. The SW150 filter holder pairs with adapters for common front filter thread diameters and adapters custom-designed to fit onto select ultra-wide lenses. I admit I do not own a Nikon 300mm f/2.8G. My understanding is that they use 52mm drop-in filters. If there is an available empty drop in filter holder capable of holding third party filters, your best option would be to buy a 52mm solar filter and drop that in. If that is not possible, then your best bet for using that lens would be to try rigging a DIY means of holding this filter to the front or, prefereably, using a different lens compatible with some type of solar filter. Best of luck.

Q: 4. Can I put the LEE Filters in each pocket without other protection (soft clothes or similar) or are the well protected by the inner surface of the pouch?

A: Filters placed inside this pouch would already be well protected since there are individual slots for each filter.

Q: 5. What size lenses will this work on

A: This adapter works on lenses with filter threads from 43mm-112mm.

Q: 6. Will this fit NiSi 150mm Filter Holder for Tokina 16-28mm Lens ?

A: I bought it for the Lee Filter system.I have never used NiSi system

Q: 7. How does this compare to the Progrey Titan CPL?

A: I'm sorry but B&H does not carry Progrey filters so i cannot comment but I can say that Lee filters are very good and have been used by professionals for many years. Other quality brands include Nisi, Haida, Formatt and H & Y.

Q: 8. 150x150 Lee Big Stopper can it be used for Solar Eclipse?

A: No, you must use a solar filter.

Q: 9. Is there a belt loop on the back? Is it Velcro like a slip-lock?

A: The pouch has belt loops on the back.

Q: 10. Will this fit the Haida M-15 filter holder?

A: Yes, the Haida M15 Filter Holder will hold the LEE Filters 150 x 150mm SW150 Solar Stopper Neutral Density 6.0 Filter (20 Stop) BH #LESSWQ • MFR #SW150SOL
