Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. under optimal conditions, what is the range?

A: Under optimal conditions, you can get up to 1,000 ft of coverage with this transmitter and our LA-122 antenna. Different antenna's can have different coverage area's, with LA-122 giving the most. If you are looking for more coverage, I would recommend our 216 MHz system which can give up to 3,000 ft of coverage. Thank you.

Q: 2. Does this set have multiple channels?

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK GR16 Wireless Communication System (1920 to 1930 MHz), BH # LILKS9A1, operates in a frequency range of 1920 to 1930 MHz. Separate groups can be created. Think of the separate groups as separate channels.

Q: 3. This is confusing. The LT has several transmitters e.g. 72Mhz and 216Mhz for example. I thought for the receivers to work they must tune or be set to match this frequency band. Or is the ListenTALK LKR-12 an FM band receiver?

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK LKR-12 Basic Receiver with Li-Ion Battery, Lanyard & Ear Speaker BH #LILKR12A0 operates on 1920 to 1930 MHz (North America). The North American DECT band, is sometimes called 1.9 GHz, and properly called the 1920-1930 MHz UPCS band.

Q: 4. Why are there two channels? Two channels of audio? There really isn't much info from LT. Why not post a copy of the manual or other documentation as other suppliers offer.

A: The Listen Technologies LW-100P-02 Listen Everywhere 2-Channel Wi-Fi Server BH #LILW100P0201is for those applications that only require two channels. Q: 5. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the 216mhz vs 72

A: The 216 MHz system would be great for large coverage areas. With the right antenna they can reach up to about 3,000 ft line-of-sight. You would only be able to have about 3 transmitters in the same area using 216 MHz, though. 72 MHz has a smaller range of about 1,000 ft line-of-sight, but you would be able to have about 7-8 transmitters in the same area. This tends to be the more popular frequency, as well.

Q: 6. Can this system be used as a FM transmitter to the FM radios in cars?

A: This would not work for as FM transmitter to a car radio as it doesn't run on the same frequencies and would need a compatible receiver to get a signal.

Q: 7. Does each Receiver come Does each Receiver come with an earpiece or headphones?

A: Earpieces are not included with the Listen Technologies ListenTALK GR16 Wireless Communication System (1920 to 1930 MHz).

Q: 8. Will this work for people that have hearing aids/cochlear implants?

A: The Listen Technologies Listen Everywhere 4-Channel Server BH #LILW200P0401 can work with these devices as the listener connects via a mobile app on their phones. If the listener can use headphones then they are all set.

Q: 9. What are the advantages of the Dante equipped server?

A: The Listen Technologies Listen Everywhere 2 Channel Wi-Fi Audio Server (Dante) BH #LILW150P021D is an affordable way to deliver 2 Dante® audio channels to audiences of up to 1000 users. The rear panel Dante input allows for easy audio routing and management via Dante Controller® software. Experience great quality audio and industry leading low latency audio at your venue with a Dante enabled 2 channel Wi-Fi Audio Server.

Q: 10. How low latency is it? Does it use our Wi-Fi network? If so, we have stellar speeds. If not, I'd be concerned about distance.

A: The Listen Technologies LW-100P-02 Listen Everywhere 2-Channel Wi-Fi Server (BH # LILW100P0201) has virtually no discernable audio latency. It connects to your internet router/modem (network) via an Ethernet cable.
