Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this antenna for a regular stereo receiver for listening to the radio?

A: The Listen Technologies LA-122 Universal Antenna Kit (72 and 216 MHz),BH # LILA122, is not designed for FM radio listening. Here is a compatible option: ANTOP Antennas AT-212FM Curved Panel Indoor Amplified AM/FM Antenna (Black), B&H # ANAT212FM

Q: 2. picture shows clear acrylic cover, is this included?

A: According to Listen Technologies, no, the pictured cover is not included with the Listen Technologies LA-326 Universal Rack Mounting Kit (B&H # LILA326).

Q: 3. What are the dimensions of the headset itself? (not the box)

A: No dimensions given, however, based on box dimensions below, estimate 6.5 x 4.5 x 1" 7.8 x 5.5 x 1.3"

Q: 4. Are these receivers compatible with off-brand transmitters in the 72-76 MHz range?

A: The Listen Technologies LR-500-72 Portable Programmable Display RF Receiver (72 MHz) BH #LILR500072 is compatible with Listen Technologies transmitters.

Q: 5. How low latency is it? Does it use our Wi-Fi network? If so, we have stellar speeds. If not, I'd be concerned about distance.

A: The Listen Technologies LW-100P-02 Listen Everywhere 2-Channel Wi-Fi Server (BH # LILW100P0201) has virtually no discernable audio latency. It connects to your internet router/modem (network) via an Ethernet cable.

Q: 6. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the 216mhz vs 72

A: The 216 MHz system would be great for large coverage areas. With the right antenna they can reach up to about 3,000 ft line-of-sight. You would only be able to have about 3 transmitters in the same area using 216 MHz, though. 72 MHz has a smaller range of about 1,000 ft line-of-sight, but you would be able to have about 7-8 transmitters in the same area. This tends to be the more popular frequency, as well.

Q: 7. under optimal conditions, what is the range?

A: Under optimal conditions, you can get up to 1,000 ft of coverage with this transmitter and our LA-122 antenna. Different antenna's can have different coverage area's, with LA-122 giving the most. If you are looking for more coverage, I would recommend our 216 MHz system which can give up to 3,000 ft of coverage. Thank you.

Q: 8. Does this set have multiple channels?

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK GR16 Wireless Communication System (1920 to 1930 MHz), BH # LILKS9A1, operates in a frequency range of 1920 to 1930 MHz. Separate groups can be created. Think of the separate groups as separate channels.

Q: 9. Can you combine IEM and IFB RF signals of different output strengths? For instance I have a Lectrosonics M2T that has two output carriers of 50mw each. and a Lectrosonics T4 IFB transmitter that outputs 250mw. Can I combine them all with this to a single antenna?

A: It is possible to use transmitters with different power output levels with the RF Venue COMBINE4 - 4-Channel Antenna Combiner. This combiner is a unity device that does not affect or change the output strength of the transmitters connected. It does, however, have a maximum input level of 100mW and would not be compatible for use with a transmitter pushing 250mW such as the Lectrosonics IFBT4.

Q: 10. Will this work for people that have hearing aids/cochlear implants?

A: The Listen Technologies Listen Everywhere 4-Channel Server BH #LILW200P0401 can work with these devices as the listener connects via a mobile app on their phones. If the listener can use headphones then they are all set.
