Designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim, the 220V 21798ELS Tensioned Advantage Electrol 65 x 116" Ceiling-Recessed Motorized Screen from Da-Lite is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets are included to make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

The Advantage Electrol screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Q: 1. I have set this up and use an on-camera flash to trip the two lights BUT I am NOT able to vary the output of the flash. I dial from full to 1/8 but only the modeling light varies in intensity. Am I doing something wrong?Lucian

A: Just to be sure - when reducing flash power, you must dump the flash first and then measure power. This means if the flash is at full power and you reduce it to an 1/8, you must first fire a flash to dump the power out of the flash capacitors and reduce their charge to an 1/8 and then measure your flash output. If the flash remains at full for a 3rd and 4th shot, then it may be faulty.

Q: 2. 5600 k or tungsten?

A: This kit would contain monolights, which produces a color temperature of 5600K.

Q: 3. Are there two lights included with this unit. Are the lights 5600K?

A: Yes, the kit comes with two Impact One Monolights. They are strobe type lights and are daylight rated.Note the camera you use this with needs to have a sync port or you will need to get an adapter or wireless sync.And this is made for still photos not video.

Q: 4. Looking for a replacement light for a Britek Halo Flood 1000P #H8048. Will this bulb fit that?

A: I don't know Curt. I do know that I bought this before reading the details. I should have bought the 110 volt, instead of the 220. I bought it for an Arri 1k.

Q: 5. Does this come with a power cable?

A: Yes a very long power cable permanently connected to the light.

Q: 6. My flash tube broke. Is that covered in the one year warranty ?

A: Unfortunately, the warranty for this monolight only covers defects in the unit as a whole. It does not cover lamps.

Q: 7. Will this work on a Novatron 240?

A: If you mean would you be able to use this product along with the Novatron 240, probably. The Novatron system does not have built-in optical slaves, but the monolights with this kit do, so you should be able to fire the Novatron system with you camera and let the optical slaves on this monolight kit fire them. You have to manually adjust the power settings on these to achieve proper exposure and the lighting effect you want.

Q: 8. If I purchase a pc chord adapter, is this compatible with a canon rebel t3?

A: Yes you can use the Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter for PC Connection B&H # VEHSAPCU in order to sync these monolights with a Canon EOS Rebel T3. Additionally, you may also want to purchase a light meter to help measure the output of these monolights. It can be connected with the same sync cable. One such meter is the Sekonic L-308S-U Flashmate Light Meter B&H # SEL308SU. Please see the images below for reference.

Q: 9. Will this strobe work with 3rd party modifiers, or only the supplied softboxes?

A: That model strobe uses the Elinchrom mount also called EX. There are a few different manufactures that make modifiers with that mount, Elinchrom, Impact and Interfit. Note to be careful when picking it out that it is the correct mount. Impact and Interfit make different mounts not just EX.

Q: 10. What is the maximum watt light you can use?

A: These monolights can only except a modeling lamp up to 60 watts. The strobes themselves offer 100 watt/sec of power on each.
