The black, 75' Mogami Gold Studio XLR Female to XLR Male Microphone Cable is a high-quality, 4-conductor cable engineered for maximum rejection of RFI and EMI, accurate signal transmission with low noise, and durability. It uses the company's Neglex twisted, double-conductor quad cable with a spiral, bare copper shield, which is effective in maintaining signal integrity, even when used with unbalanced equipment, in professional or home studios suffering from wiring and grounding problems.

The cable is terminated with black-body, gold-plated XLR connectors, and features a 0.236" diameter jacket, ideal for applications where a small-diameter quad mic cable is required.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. (1) Can you give the specific pin wiring for this cable? I need pins 2-3-1 of the Neutrik XLR wired respectively to the Tip, Ring, and Sleeve of the mini plug for use with a RED Epic microphone input from standard XLR mic out.(2) Is the angle of the cable out of the Neutrik connector user-adjustable to different positions? I would need the cable to outlet at a counterclockwise right angle to the standard configuration shown in the photo.(3) How flexible is the cable? It appears so thick that it would lack malleability in a 1.5 foot length.

A: The Hosa MXM-001.5RS is wired to the standard, Pin 2 to Tip, Pin 3 to Ring, Pin 1 to Sleeve. The XLR connector is non rotating and oriented according to the photo provided. The conductors are 24 gauge allowing some flexibility in the cable.

Q: 2. will the work with sony a92?

A: If you are using a dynamic microphone yes. It will work.

Q: 3. How does an unpowered/passive transformer provide 24dB of gain?

A: The 24dB of gain provided by the Shure Microphone Matching Transformer XLR Female to 1/4" Male is achieved when connecting a balanced low-impedance microphone output to an unbalanced high impedance input.

Q: 4. Will This work with 6D MII ?

A: Thank you for your question. This will work to connect a microphone to any DSLR with a 3.5mm mic input.

Q: 5. will this work with the AJA Kipro ultra plus?

A: Thank you for your question. This snake should work with the AJA for AES protocol.

Q: 6. Is the pin assign compatible with ProTools C24 console, or other protools interfaces?

A: The Mogami Gold 8 Channel Analog Snake Cable, DB-25 to 8x XLR Female - 5' uses a common pin-out configuration that should be compatible with Avid's C|24 console. For another option directly from Avid, we recommend the Avid DB25-XLRM DigiSnake - Analog or Digital Output Snake (4-Foot) (BH #AVDB25XMS4): https://bhpho.to/3tQS2y7

Q: 7. is the head type/angle adjustable on these cables? I'm looking for a 3 o'clock head on the male and a 12 o'clock head on the female.

A: It does not appear that the connector orientation on the Cable Techniques 10'Low-Profile Right-Angle XLR-3F to XLR-3M Mic/Patch Cable (Black Caps)Mogami W2549 Cable is adjustable. The XLR connectors used appear to be one solid component without the ability to unscrew and reorient.

Q: 8. What is the length from the split location to the end of the XLR cable?

A: The length from the split location to the end of the Mogami Gold 3.5mm TRS Male to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable (6') is 18".

Q: 9. Is this a balanced cable

A: The Mogami Gold 3.5mm TRS Male to Dual XLR Female Y-Cable (10') is not a balanced cable. 3.5mm stereo TRS is not a balanced connection, so even though the input connectors are XLR the signal going through the cable cannot be balanced.

Q: 10. If the split is 18" from the end, which side is closer to the split? The XLR or the 3.5mm?

A: The XLR connectors on the Mogami Gold 3.5mm TRS Male to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable (6') are closer to the split end of the cable.

I have never been disappointed in Mogami cables and can't afford to take a chance with cheaper cables.

This cable is excellent! I use it mostly from going from a mixer to a cabled boom, and this does an excellent job. It holds up in exteriors, interiors, hot weather (haven't tested cold weather, but I'm sure it'll be fine). I have other Kopul cables that hold the coils a bit too much, but this cable is pliable even when its been coiled for days on end in a box. 10/10 worth the money.

I did a side by side test using Mogami vs an off brand. In my test, the Mogami did not add any noise whereas the off brand cable did. These cost a little more but the quality difference is worth it at any level.

I have used mogami cables for my lab since the 2000s. I have never had a problem with any piece from mogami. I have moved my studio several times over the years and these stand the test of time. They have handled anything I have thrown at them so far. Price worth the quality.

What's there to say. If you know about Mogami Gold, you know they are worth it. I highly recommend these cables especially for studio recording. I replaced some other cables and the noise reduction was noticeable.
