Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are they good fit for people with larger head?

A: The Fostex T60RP RP Stereo Headphones, B&H # FOT60RP, are designed to fit most head sizes. They are very comfortable; however, since comfort is something highly personal, we could not guarantee it would fit comfortably around every head size.

Q: 2. are these good for children (ages 8-12)?

A: No. The connection wire is short, cheap, and two wire design (vs one-wire that dangles on one side). Also the entire headset is fragile and seems breakable. The Koss UR20 is much more robust, has a generously long, heavier wire, the wire dangles from only one side (not from both ears), and has better sound quality. Also the UR20 is less expensive. Hope this helps.

Q: 3. Do they come with a mic input?

A: Unfortunately these headphones do not come with an Inline Microphone. It also does not provide a way to plug an external microphone.

Q: 4. Do these headphones come with a mic?

A: Unfortunately these headphones do not come with an Inline Microphone.

Q: 5. Given their impedance is 60 Ohms (most portable headphones have low impedance - less than 30 ohms), will they sound loud enough from a cell phone?

A: These headphones are extremely efficient and you will not have problems getting enough power out of them from standard PC headphone jacks, cel phones, etc. They sound great. It will be one of the best headphone purchases you've made under $100. The only thing is that the metal headband easily catches one's hair. So be careful when removing them! I have pulled hairs out!

Q: 6. How low latency is it? Does it use our Wi-Fi network? If so, we have stellar speeds. If not, I'd be concerned about distance.

A: The Listen Technologies LW-100P-02 Listen Everywhere 2-Channel Wi-Fi Server (BH # LILW100P0201) has virtually no discernable audio latency. It connects to your internet router/modem (network) via an Ethernet cable.

Q: 7. I have a huge hiss problem connecting my beeznees mic to the bae compressor in to this la2a what could it be?

A: Hissing in any piece of audio gear is indicative of electronic noise, due to either poor quality in components or improper gain staging. Keep in mind every time an audio device is added to the chain, the noise floor increases.

Q: 8. Is it soundproof on the outside

A: The Clearsonic gobo70 is not sound proof. It is a 2 section reflection filter used to isolate vocals in a lively room. You may consider the Clearsonic Isopac G (B&H# CLIPG)which would be a fully enclosed booth with a lid system. There will be about 50-60% sound reduction, inside and out.

Q: 9. What phones will the online remote work on?

A: The in-line remote will work with Apple and android phones. You will be able to answer and end calls. Other functions will vary, with no specific rule.

Q: 10. Does this set have multiple channels?

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK GR16 Wireless Communication System (1920 to 1930 MHz), BH # LILKS9A1, operates in a frequency range of 1920 to 1930 MHz. Separate groups can be created. Think of the separate groups as separate channels.

I did a ton of research before throwing down the sizeable chunk of cash needed to get it. Everything they said was true. I use it primarily for bass and vocals, but I've thrown it on everything from drums to harmonica and it does the trick. The simple controls and ease of use are nice, making it easy to dial in the perfect setting. Kinda fun to crank it all the way up from time to time to see what it's capable of. 100% glad I got it and this is one of the cheapest places on the internet to get one. Additionally, customer service was fantastic. Thanks, B&H.

I have used this for documentary work for 2 years. It has been with me to in the studio and brought along to interviews in a shoulder bag approximately 50 times.

What I dislike is the weight. It's heavy when I go one-person-band recording. I worry (and expect) every time that I will have a tube issue or some problem associated with having moved the unit out of my rack kit for setup elsewhere. Cross my fingers that it's never given me trouble or had malfunctions.

The manual was easy to read and follow. This is one of the best differentiators in terms of quality in my kit and has attracted talent because the sound is leaps and bounds above client expectations. I like that I have everything in one spot for a subject of any range (quiet and shy, loud and booming) with total confidence that I can get an archive-quality recording.

I have recorded into various pro recorders and ENG or compact cine cameras with it. In the future, the size and tube-only operation has led me to explore other options such as Twinfinity and Grace preamps.

I will second another reviewer that Universal Audio's changes seem to depart from the tradition of this old company. I have the whole thunderbolt-powered Universal Audio Apollo 8p racks at the home studio. They are not reliable like this unit, for me. It seems like the software-based mic pres always have some annoying issue or update. I have not taken this in for a warranty, given that it's worked without trouble.
