I prefer the snap/click locks to the twist locks, and this is one of the few high-quality, reasonably priced Carbon Fiber tripods with that feature. On a tripod, the devil is in the details and this one gets all of them right. Lightweight and easily collapsible, very sturdy and supportivem a few bells/whistles to make it more pleasant to use.

I have bought a lot of tripods in search of one that was light, durable, easy to use and most importantly - sturdy and reliable for securing my camera. I finally found it! Thanks for the excellent recommendation B&H. I have since recommended you and the Benro Series 2 Adventure carbon fibre tripod to a friend of mine - and she loves hers too.

I have used many expensive tripods over the years, and I feel that the strength/weight to price ratio is very good here. I prefer the flip to close legs to twist lock and the ball head works solidly under load. I highly recommend.

I was looking for a light tripod with a ball head that could support the weight of a telephoto lens and this one was perfect. The carbon fiber design is light weight but still feels very sturdy even with the center extended all the way up.

I dislike the turn to tighten on the legs. Takes to long to set up.
When I saw the flat locks , I was sold.

Very pleased with my first carbon fiber tripod. I used it with a D750 and Tamron 70-200. Very sturdy and lightweight.

I’m very impressed with this tripod.  It’s got a beautiful finish, and feels extremely well made.  When I have it in full extension, & press down with my body weight on the top, there is no give of flex.
My heaviest setup would be with my Nikon D500 & Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 lens.  That’s approximately 5-lbs., 9-oz. of weight & the tripod is rock steady.
It comes in its own bag (substantial & well made), with Allen wrenches, wrench, & pointed feet for the tripod.)
Also mounted on one of the legs is a plastic wrench to tighten the leg locks when necessary.  Very handy & always on the tripod & available.
Now I know your saying “plastic?”  But it is very substantial & I have used it, and it works well.
I love the locking mechanism, no leg creep, solid lock.  And the tripod head is very smooth and ergonomically comfortable.
I hopes this helps someone decide.

I did a lot of research trying to find a tripod that could handle heavier gear while still being both small and light enough to travel/hike with. Of course budget was an issue as well. It all came down to this one. Very happy with the product.
